We WERE in Miami... BEACH!

Flip Flops I made for all the girls!
Okay... so its time for me to play catch up on my blog, right?  So... here I go!

Its always more fun with pictures, so let me go ahead and include the pictures that I need to for this one in particular.  :)

Early in July, I went down to Miami.  6 girlfriends flew down from Seattle and one was already there patiently waiting for us to arrive... haha!  It was a reunion... finally!  I've missed my friends SO much!  I know I have friends here in Long Beach, but these are the girlfriends from a place that I call HOME, you know what I mean?  Anyway, it was long awaited and the day and time finally arrived!

I probably won't get into too much details about everything that went down.  Lets just say that it was a very memorable trip... in a good way and a bad way.  I'll leave the emotional stuff for another post as it may take me awhile to put it all together.  Now, lets move on to the fun stuff!

So here I am finally on the beach in Miami.  I must admit that I expected a whole lot more out of Miami beaches.  The sand was rough... even worse than the beaches in Southern California... so that says a lot! HAHA jk!  I didn't stay on the beach as often or as long as I should because I was literally getting heat strokes and I couldn't breathe because of all that humidity.  What's really sad is that our hotel was literally across the street from the beach!  I beat myself up later regretting not working on the tan that was much needed.

Yes, I am wearing earrings on the beach.. who is asking?  Hmm?

If you should wonder what we look like without makeup, then here you have it!  LOL... a picture that I took with my phone before we got ready for a night out.  My best friends and I... at our best, of course!  Vany's cousin actually commented on this picture on FB right away about his cousin's flat hair.  What a hater!  The conversation we had about that later cracked me up to the point my stomach really hurt.  Vany says some of the most hilarious things I have ever heard in my life.  I love that girl to pieces... a great friend that is truly her own and one of a kind.  :)

Yes, I had to include a picture of our snacks.  The fruit bars were my choice and all of us love hot cheetos, but the Bride to Be makes it a point that it is her absolute favorite!  SO... we had to get it too!

Our first night out!  Can you take a wild guess what our theme of the night was?  It was such a fun night and we really showed what its like to get VIP treatment in a totally different city!  I was getting upset that there was too much champagne that kept getting poured for us and my friend had to sneak off to the bathroom to pour the champagne down the toilet and pretend like she drank it all! HAHA... thats how crazy it was!  Good times though, of course!

I really hate how my hair always does the funky split like that.  Well, my bangs anyway!  However, I was really loving the dress, so I had to get a single shot somewhere!  ;)
We loved our hotel!  Casanova Suites is the place to be if you are ever in Miami!  Seriously, it couldn't be any more perfect... our suite was HUGE and the staff was the best!  Check them out!

My best friend and I!  She was the Bride to Be and I would have went to Mars and back for her if I had to!  Love her... truly my Sista from anotha Motha!  No one knows me like she does... f'reals!  Anyway... our second theme was "citrus", but I must admit that it was ruined.  I wouldn't say by who and how, but lets just say that themes aren't too fun if you try to include selfish and attention seeking folks in the mix.  Whatever... I didn't let it ruin my night.  No sir!

We are on our way!  I don't understand some things... but whatever.  I actually wanted a picture with our taxi cab driver, but I guess my camera kinda sorta got hijacked for a minute and we were at the club before I had my chance to take a picture with him.  Boo... next time... maybe!

LOVE THEM!!  My two favorite KOREA's!  If I ever blurt out any bad words or phrases in Korean, they are to blame.  I know more bad things than good things... that can't be good!  Oh well!

Kickin' it with J.Cole!  Heck yeah!  Okay so I admit that I had no idea who the dude was and had never heard his music in my life, but knowing that he is a celebrity, of course my groupie mode was on and I was going to fake the funk.  I swear we made eye contact ALL night... lol... especially after I tweeted him and told him not to look so sad while he was on stage!  Then, we were there partying it up with him in V.I.P... what what!  When I was talking to him, he asked me what my name was and even had me spell it out... and he told me that I had a pretty name "tee-da"!  Oh... and you'd better believe that I told him that he was my favorite artist!  (I refrained from saying "singer" or "rapper" because I had no idea which one he was.  Safe way to go was, "artist"!)  And then he performed... and his songs were just bad!  Not as in awful, but it was kinda dirty callin' girls "bitches" and stuff... and I didn't like it.  Oh well... groupie moment is over and I already got my picture... so whatever!

Stripper night! LOL... I decided to make up this little game while we were all getting ready.  Every ten minutes, I would call "SHOT" in the kitchen and everyone had to take a shot.  The last one there had to take two shots!  HAHAHA... it got us a little bit too drunk at the time... but just in time for the stripper.  I won't share any more pictures from this night, but lets just say that the stripper in Miami sucks compared to our stripper in Tacoma!  What does Miami know about Tacoma anyway? LOL!

Hungover day!  We weren't exactly feeling at our best this day, so we spent most of the day just chillin' in the suite and talking!  That was probably the best day of my trip... bonding with some of the girls that I love ! Of course though, we made it out for at least a little bit that night... and still in theme, of course!  ;)

Of course, we made it out to DASH in Miami!  We were hoping to see Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian.  I was tweeting them for weeks asking if they were going to be at the store because I wanted to hang out (acting like they were my best friends, of course.. haha!).  It would have been nice to see Kim Kardashian  too, but she isn't really that big deal and part of the store, so whatever.  I like Kim too, its just... I think Khloe and Kourtney are much more entertaining.  :)  They weren't there... and none of the employees looked like the ones on the show.  Then I see the newer episodes now and I realize that they had already left Miami at the time.  Boo... I'm sure they would have hung out with us if they were still there though! HAHA! (sarcasm)

Our last night in Miami!  All the girls in black... minus the Bride to Be!  Please excuse the towel on the ground... I used that to wipe off some of the self tanner I had to use on my legs. LMAO!  Oops!  I can't seem to find a picture with all of us in it, but here goes some.

This was a really interesting night.  It was something that could have been pulled right out of a movie, I swear.  I'll get into it later, but it turned out to be an amazing night!

My Bride to Be had a blast... and that is all that really matters!

With the manager of my officially favorite club in Miami... TWIST!

What a memorable night... a fairytale, actually!

Miami, I miss you!

Wakin' up in Vegas!

Wow. After being home for nearly 12 hours, I sit here and continue to reminisce about this past weekend. I've been to Vegas many times, but this one has got to be one of the best ones because of the balance and the fact that I got to do a lot more than usual in about half the time that I usually spend there.

Before the trip, there were some issues where people made me feel like I wasn't going to enjoy my trip. Thank goodness it didn't affect it too much. In fact, despite the little bit of awkwardness I felt, I think something good came out of it. Its healthy to be honest about your feelings and speak your mind rather than have people play a guessing game. I know that I often joke that the world revolves around me but it makes me wonder if people really truly feel that the world revolves around them. Whatever it may be, I say screw with it and do what makes YOU happy. If people choose to moan and groan over situations rather than try to do something about it to change it, then there is nothing that I can do about that. Like I usually say, "sounds like a personal problem to me"!

Anyway... when it came down to the trip, I had such a blast! The "party train" tolerated my loud and annoying self, somehow. Big props to them for being able to do it and having such great sense of humor.

We stayed at the lovely Bellagio and we certainly had a front row center view of the water fountain that gives a remarkable water show every 30 minutes. Breathtaking and beautiful... I loved it!

Our first night there was short because we got in so late, but we made the best of it at the timeshare that our friends were at. SOOOOO much fun! We didn't get back to our room until about 4am and all of us knocked out pretty quickly. Woke up early the next morning and had really good dim sum that seemed to give a few diarrhea, but it didn't really affect me. In fact, I wanted more! Yummm! Went shopping and my sweet Husband insisted I pick out a purse from Michael Kors. Honestly, I've been looking for a style that I saw ONCE and have thought about since. Unfortunately, I couldn't find that one but fell in love with another. He insisted. (I told you he loves me!) If I develop a handbag obsession, he is to blame. LOL!

I just took these pictures real quick and don't feel like looking for the pictures online.

(found this online in brown. mine's "vanilla")

Its simple and SO me. I love it and it does everything I need a purse to do.

I've never been a HUGE fan of COACH or any of the other brands because I would much rather pay for high quality leather than the same amount for canvas. I also am not fond of signature monograms. I like my bags plain and simple and this is just perfect for me. What I love most about this is the feel of the calf skin leather. I usually love lambskin leather a lot more... but I am not going to complain about this one. *swoons* Thanks Baby!

Went back to our room for the water shows. Found ourselves at the Wynn buffet. I hate to admit but it wasn't my favorite in Vegas. I had high expectations but was left pretty disappointed. Oh well... first time for everything and I wouldn't know that I didn't like it if I didn't try it, right?

Hustled and got into Tryst and cut everyone in line at XS... without paying a dime. Whoever told us that everyone has to pay and there are no special treatments were lying or weren't so lucky. I've been wanting to check out XS for a long time now and this is the first time I actually made it (I hate and usually refuse to wait in lines). The club itself was beautiful and I had so much fun dancing in the water... but I wasn't enjoying the overcrowded dance floor so much. I would much rather be at a smaller club or lounge with better music and more room to dance. Oh well... I hope I don't come off as I am complaining because I'm not. I had a great time and glad that I went. I just think I would rather check out other clubs the next time I get a chance.

OH... and I got to meet up with an old friend of mine since my middle school and soccer playing days. It was so great to see her after so many years. I wish we would have had a chance to actually sit down and talk and catch up, but she was such a great sport and met up with us for the club and stayed for about an hour or two. She's a Kindergarten teacher down there and its great to see that she is doing so well nowadays. I've really missed her and our other friends. We will definitely have to have another reunion with the other girls soon. We went back to the hotel and some of the others gambled while a few of us crossed over to Planet Hollywood and got our munchies at Earl's. By far my favorite sandwich shop and I was waiting and anticipating visiting this place again after contemplating seconds back in September when I first tried it. YUMM! If you haven't tried it, you much! In words of one of the girls, "it was definitely worth the walk".

The next morning, we had to say our goodbyes to Vegas. After packing, we went to check out the new city center at Aria. BEAUTIFUL place! I didn't realize how much I loved interesting architecture. The place was amazing and I fell in love with everything there except for the prices on the mochas. Ugh... my first $7 cup of WCM... but it was pretty darn good.

We had lunch at the famous Pink's. I'm not a big fan of hot dogs... but this one was pretty damn good. I know it doesn't look so appetizing but it really is YUM!

Chili fries... with onions (my own addition). Mmmmmm!!

We went back to Aria after lunch and did a little gambling before hitting the road. I lost $16 on the slots after about 3 minutes and called it quits! I've never had luck in gambling... sucks. Sam loves craps (the name of the game still makes me giggle) and so I joined him at the tables. I got there and thats when he started coming up. It was his turn to roll and the older men at the table were cheering him on and telling him that the lady next to him must be his good luck charm. He agreed. He bets small... but after the end of his rolls, he cashed out and was $463 richer. Whoot! I was a happy camper and he was a lot sexier when he wins! HAHA... totally kidding!

We ended our trip over dinner at a pho restaurant in Placentia. This is how I ended it:

It would take me forever to go through all the details but although the trip was mellow, the laughing was nonstop. I love my party train and really look forward to our next trip together.

P.S. I'm not allowed to get into details on the most memorable parts because what happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas, but the memories live on in my heart. Always.

Yay... play with me!

Wow... I am actually shocked to see that others have responded and voted on the poll I put there on the side of this blog. Thanks for voting and keep voting because you have another day to do it. I figured it would be fun since I'm so into the show... mainly for their clothes! HAHA... its true! So... what do you think? Hmmm...?

Maybe I should make this a more interactive blog? It seems like no one ever really responds to me (okay they do... occasionally), so I'm really just talking to myself. I don't mind talking to myself... I really don't. BUT... its just funny and fun to actually have someone talk back to you. So... talk back to me, please!

Inspired by the Cheesecake Factory, I whipped up some Cajun Jambalaya Pasta last night. My brothers in law, my nephew, and their friend came over before basketball and they killed it! I really liked it. Anthony (my nephew) said it was too spicy, but too bad for him because thats how I like it! :) Too lazy to post any food pictures on this thing. Find it on FB.

We bought our tickets to Seattle last night (finally). Looking forward to our family reunion and it just so happens to be Jenn's birthday. Its also Pearly's birthday, but wouldn't be able to make it there. It was nice catching up with her this morning. She's been going through a lot lately and sometimes, its just nice to hear from a friend showing that he/she cares. Once I found out what had happened a few weeks ago, I called her right away. I know the feeling of going through tough times and sometimes, it only takes a phone call/text message/fb message from a good friend to make you feel better. Its times like that when you realize who your true friends are when they show that they are there for you through those dark moments. Love the girl... miss her!

Still don't know what to do for Halloween... slowly being convinced to go to the party at The Reef. Maybe... but I'm sort of lazy. Its tomorrow and I don't even have a costume yet. Heck... I don't even know what I want to be! HELP!!

I wonder what everyone else is doing/going to be for Halloween. Care to share?

Back at home!!

I'm back at home!! WAIT... which home? Where is home? Good question!

As I said before, WA will always be my home... but CA is my new home. Its confusing... but I have two homes. Right now, I'm at the WA home.

Decided that my blog shall be updated more often and although it might not be anything too exciting, its nice to have a little outlet. I don't know and don't really care if anyone reads this, so don't be surprised if I'm a little bit too honest for my own good. Let me say this in advance.... oops!

My days have been busy and a little bit crazy. It feels like there are not enough hours in the day. Right now I am up and blogging but really, I should be getting the little sleep that I might be able to squeeze in all weekend.

I just got here a few hours ago. My Sister and Niece picked me up and of course, we had time to squeeze in a few bites. After that, no more junkie food for me! I've been eating really bad lately and I can feel my body feeling more and more gross with every bite. WHY do I do it to myself? I don't do it to myself... the freakin' cheesecakes and cream pies and ice cream cones do it to me. They are the devil... the yummy yummy devil!

I'll be here for a few days... the weekend to be particular. My Husband is in Vegas with the guys. Sometimes I wonder if they just wait/plan/pray for me to go out of town so that they can play with Sam. HAHA... its cool though... I hope they're having a good time. According to Sam's BBM, he misses me already. BS. He's probably loving the craps table more than me. I don't mind... just make the money, honey!

Lovin' Laughlin!

My first trip to Laughlin was a success... sorta! The traffic Friday evening when we left wasn't great, but it wasn't the end of the world either. We got there pretty late, but just in time to get a few hours of sleep before playtime!

We went to Lake Mead at 6:30am! Well, that was the plan, but I'm sure we didn't really leave until about 7am! :D Anyway... my first time jet skiing was so much fun! I can't believe I almost didn't get on that thing because I was scared but once I got on, it was an addiction. Apparently, they could hear me scream the whole time (its more exciting that way... like on a roller coaster, you don't get the same thrill if you don't scream). I was trying to sing while Sam was driving and everytime I would, he would go faster or slow down to scare me with a whiplash so that I'd stop singing. What a punk!

I had fun with my deck of cards and trying to punk everyone to drink later that day. I felt sort of bad because a few got pretty messed up and were just laying there helpless. I usually don't do a lot of drinking when I'm hosting a game, but my friends have caught on and have somehow made me drink as much, if not more than them. No one ever is supposed to beat me in my drinking game, but this past weekend, Bo did. How he did it? I will never know but I'm just going to believe that he cheated although I don't see how he could have. HAHA! I got pretty messed up myself and knocked out on the hammock in the sun for awhile. I hate my drinking games!

Oh... and I hate getting bit! Freakin' red ants... I hate you! That sh*t was so painful and for a minute, my thigh and butt felt so numb! Grrrr...! And then after that mofo bit me, I picked it off me and let it go and live. What the heck was I thinking?

Played in the water for a bit and the guys were enjoying themselves making bubbles in the water. Nasty asses!

We got to gamble for a little bit and I'm still upset at somehow losing $10 in the penny slots within a minute or two even after thoroughly reading the instructions. Then, I upgraded to the nickle slots and it was just not my lucky day at all! $19 later, I still couldn't get a drink from the cocktail waitress... she straight up rejected me and I had to go stand around by Sam at the craps table in order to get my lousy white russian! Grrr! Sam broke even... actually won $2 but he tipped the cashier lady with it. HAHA! I am $19 poorer... eff that! Actually wait... I guess I sorta came up because Sam gave me $50 to gamble and I only used $19 so I came up, really! LOL! There was a club there and Lily and I decided to check it out while our boys were hooked on craps. We decided that its just not the same to dance when you're not in heels. Too bad I didn't pack heels with me!

Our drive back was a freakin' mission, dude. Long story short... 5 hour drive turned into a 12 hour drive. Thank goodness for thoughtful and caring friends who would never leave us roasting on the side of the road in 104 degrees weather. Few lessons learned... but I kinda sorta don't wanna think about it anymore.

We got a few minutes in Barstow and we found a cute COACH purse for Sam's Mom for her birthday! I thought I would want something in there and Sam kept on trying to push me to get something (he's more into designer stuff than I am), but I couldn't decide on something I actually really wanted. I told him that with my luck, I'd probably lose it or somehow mess it up with my clumsiness so I'd rather buy 10 cheaper purses that are equivalent to one expensive one instead. He thinks I'm weird... I think I just know myself! :D

Didn't get home until past 1am last night and this morning, we were greeted with a parking ticket. WTF. It hasn't been our day(s).

:(

September 23, 2009

Yayyy!

Very last minute, but I am being flown out to Seattle next weekend to do makeup for a wedding! YAY! I'm so excited! I am also going back the following weekend. I would have just stayed there the entire time, but it would have cost me $100 to change that flight and thats practically another airline ticket already so screw that! Besides, Sam is already sad that I was leaving him for a weekend and now he's even more down that I'm leaving two weekends in a row! Poor Baby! As I said... before while doing the long distance relationship, I would miss him, yes. But now, I miss him when he goes to freakin' work and get really happy when he comes home! I'm an idiot.

Sam made plans to bring me to an Angels game the same day and time I'm meeting with another client. I'm hoping I can change the time with her but she hasn't gotten back to me yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I should really be packing for Laughlin, huh? Maybe tomorrow... or even Friday morning?

I love being taken care of. I've been sick and coughing and Sam's really good at making sure I take my medicine. Overall, I love my married life!! <3

September 22, 2009

YAYYY!

Its Sam's Friday! Don't ask me about his schedule... it is what it is and its freakin' weird! BUT... just glad his weekend starts tomorrow! Whats even more weird is that he has Wednesday, Thursday off... then goes to work on Friday... then off Saturday and Sunday for Laughlin! Thank goodness they approved because he really wants to go! I wanna go too, of course, but not as badly as him! He needs a vacation though... my poor Baby!

I'm such a food junkie. Every morning, I wake up thinking about what I want to try cooking that day. I think about it the night before too. I wanna try new things and this is fun. Trust me... its only gonna last for a little bit. Thats how I always am... get really into something and then forget about it!

Mommy talks to me like I'm an adult. Its weird. I miss her and my Dad... and the kiddos... and the siblings. Damn... I just miss everyone!

Job searching is ay-okay... haven't found anything I really like yet. Everything that I've gotten called back for is just way too far. Ugh! Maybe I should just open up my own business already and work for myself. Too bad lemonade stands won't pay the bills because I was once really good at it!

I feel like going through all my clothes today and reorganize my wardrobe. Yeah... thats what I shall do! :D

September 19, 2009

Fun, Fun, FUN!!!

The other day, Sam texted me with, "Please unpack your things from your Vegas trip because you're about to go on another trip!" -- YAYYYY! He really wanted to go on this group trip (he nearly cried himself to sleep when we thought we couldn't go because of his work schedule). Somehow, he was able to talk to his supervisor and they let him take the time off. Whoop, whoop! SO... we won't be home next weekend... please don't miss us!

OKAY... so yesterday I was slaving away in the kitchen by myself tryin' to bake a cake for Jackie. Sovina and I were supposed to do it together, but she got called into work and so it was really up to me. We were going to just make cupcakes, but then I decided that maybe an actual whole cake is better? SO... have to return the cupcake pan... although I may keep it for use in the future and muffins and stuff. We shall see. Anyway... it was the first time I had ever baked a cake. I learned from looking up things online and got ideas from Image Google. HAHA! I tried to talk Jackie out of it (we offered to bake the cake because we wanted to try). We were telling her how I may poison somebody or it might come out wrong so I'll just BUY a cake instead. She said NO... it will be fine and she's gonna love it. She really believed in me! HAHA... doesn't happen often. So... I decided to challenge myself... and made a triple layered cake! LOL! Bottom layer was chocolate, middle was white, and the top layer was triple chocolate! Ain't gonna lie... I bought the box mixes and they worked great! I didn't have a measuring cup, so I guesstimated everything until the third cake. (I only bought mixes for two cakes, so I had to go buy another and what do you know? A measuring cup was right there so I bought it too!) Man... I learn something new everyday!

- You don't grease the side of the pan because if you do, your dessert won't rise as well.
- You have to wait until the cake cools down COMPLETELY before frosting it or else the frost will melt and run all over the place.

I should have let each layer cool down more. I'm such an idiot... I wanted to see how it would look stacked up together. Do you know how hard it is to move cakes by the piece without breaking it? Ugh. Then... I decided to make hazelnut chocolate frosting. This time, it wasn't premade. Well... I just mixed some chocolate (premade) frosting with some Nutella, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. It was goooooood! I could have sat there eating it plain! HAHA! Finally after frosting and stacking the layers, I trimmed the edges and it was starting to fall over because it was so high! HAHA... I did cut off parts of the cake to make them thinner, but I guess I should have made it even more thin? It wasn't hard... still moist so maybe thats why it fell apart? Not sure. Ooops!

OH... and I left the decorating to Sovina! She came over and helped later with the decorating. We found whatever we had around and decorated it with tons of random things. LOL! It was REALLY random! BUT... hilarious! Can't say we didn't warn her first! I loved my first cake though! Hehe!

Good times! Maybe I'll post pictures later?

Before we headed out, Sovina and Jordan came over for dinner. I made Thai Beef Salad (my first time making it... haha! It was not as good as my Mom's or my Sisters'. Gotta call and ask them how they did it) and Prawn Pineapple Curry. Thank goodness they love spicy too because all the dishes were spicy. I honestly thought we'd have left overs because I wanted to have some today, but there's nothing left. I guess thats a good thing. Hehe... I just hope none of them got sick. LOL! Man... I sorta wish I made more because it sounds good right now.

Jackie's party was a blast! OH... did I mention that people asked for recipes to my cake? Not just one person... but at least 5 people! Hehe... I'm so proud of myself! :D

Pictures? Hmmm... maybe!

June 30, 2009

Miso Heppy!!

So glad I went out to Happy Hour with the girls tonight. I was extremely late and if I was them, I would have kicked my ass! LOL!

It was fun catching up, but I swear I could have stayed there a few more hours. I ate too much for my own good. I feel so bad! I ordered so much sh*t because I figured we'd just have separate bills like we usually do. Little did I know that they didn't let me pay for jack sh*t... not even a dime! Seriously... I think I ordered like 10 plates by myself! Ugh! Luckily I only had one glass of wine, or else I would have felt even more guilty. My last happy hour with the ladies before I become a married woman and I move on out of here. Damn. I know I haven't really seen them much, but it was comforting knowing that they're like... right there. What the f*ck am I gonna do now? :( They all promised they'd visit and they know that I will... so hopefully it will be alright.

Speaking of moving... I am crossing my fingers and toes tonight praying for this one. Please please pleeeeeeeeeease let this house be it so we can get on with it already. I went to IKEA today and the sale was awesome. If only I had a house to shop for already, dammit! BUT... sale ends on July 5th, so I still have 5 days to hope! Eeeek!

Need to get packin' for Cancun! I have my bikinis ready... mainly from my Bridal Shower. I love them! Ahhh... if only I knew how to swim! LOL

June 4, 2009

Grrrr...

I'm trying to upload pictures from Sam's camera onto this computer (done), but I can't figure out how to open them up and resize them and them upload them onto here. Yeah... I'm sure no one wants to see 2.4 MB pictures of me anyway. Or maybe I'm just too lazy to actually figure it out and once I figure out how to do it, Sam's gonna expect me to do it to hundreds of them and will expect me to do it in the future. Yeah... thats a no no.

I know that I said I'd update more on my trip later, but I'm too darn lazy. Too much to say and too much to write. I think I'm slowly growing out of my blogging my every move phase (or am I?). Honestly, I think I'm just getting old and boring. LOL... not really!

Did I tell you that Mary missed me so much while I was gone that she flew down here and spent a few days with me? LOL! Really... she did! *blush* I'm gonna take it as she used her other reason to be here just as an excuse to see me. HAHAHA! We had a great time!

Today is Sam's Friday. We probably would have done something fun... but the freakin' Lakers are on today. Fuck! I said that I hope the Lakers lose... and I swear he looked like he was about to kill me. LOL! Lose Lakers, LOSE! Lose Lakers, LOSE!! Yeah... I hope this doesn't get back to him or any of his friends... they really would kill me!

Wow... I'm actually on a roll today with my blogging. Maybe I'll continue? Not sure. We'll see.

What do you (the readers) wanna hear/read about? (I already know I won't get any responses to that, but I figured I'd try it since most bloggers actually talk to their audience and ask them for feedback. HAHA!)

May 26, 2009

My Trip... so far!!

Okay... I'm going to assume that this will be a somewhat lengthy post... or maybe I should just break them up into sections? LOL... okay... I think I shall! :D (Probably won't get to post everything now, so I'll continue throughout the day or the next few days!)

FLIGHT

My flight was supposed to depart Seattle at 10:25pm. Meaning... I left for the airport around 8pm (well, I was supposed to, but truth is... I was there around 9:15pm... LOL... and I live about 15 minutes away from the airport). My Sister dropped me off and I thought I was flying with Delta (it said so), so I went to check in and it turned out that it was being operated by Northwest (then why the heck did you bother including Delta? Did you just want to confuse me?). So... I dragged my luggage(s) to the other end of the airport terminal (UGH!) and when I finally got there, this lady found it more important to stand there and chit chat with her coworker than to check me in. I looked frustrated and grew very impatient so I started moaning and groaning because I thought I was surely gonna miss my flight. She told me she'd be right with me... but it wasn't until she finished her last giggles with her coworker at least five minues later. Grrr! So she finally started to check me in and was doing it taking her sweet little time... seeing that my plane was going to depart in less than an hour. I mean... I know I could have been there earlier, but how did she know that I wasn't caught in an unplanned bad accident traffic or something? Anyway... so she told me that my luggage was going to cost $15 to check in for the first one and $25 for the second. Okay... I fly pretty often and usually, my first luggage is free. I was like... "WHAT!?!" She explained to me like I was stupid, but I didn't really have time to deal with her, so I just paid my $15 and handed her my heavy ass luggage. Finally, I was on my way with my carry on and Sam's camera that was heavy as heck and took the place of my purse. Booo!

Thankfully, security checkpoint was a breeze and I made my flight afterall! :)

I got to Detroit at 5am (2am my time), so I didn't get any sleep, as you can imagine. (Was too excited and the babies crying on the plane just weren't helping) Anyway... I had a nearly 5 hour layover in Detroit... WTF. No way I could have fell asleep in an airport terminal. I mean... what if I snored or drooled or something? How embarrasing! Worst of all... what if I missed my flight? So I had my Starbucks fix and explored a little bit. I was pisst off that I left my book at home, but I couldn't get myself to pay for another book when I just bought two that I hadn't read yet back at home. So I sat there and played Solitaire on my phone for the entire four almost five hours. HAHA!

Finally boarded the plane and even more kids on this flight! Yikes! AND it was a small airplane and the engine was freakin' loud. I swear it basically screamed in my ear. Thank goodness for my iPod and luckily, it was a pretty short flight.

Got to Florida and Sam texted me and told me he was nervous to see me when he was waiting at baggage claim... awwww!!!

Finally, there he was... my BABYYYYYY!! :)

Back...!

So I'm back at home and FINALLY got the laptop goin' again! I don't know how I survived without the internet for so long! Thank goodness for my Facebook updates sent to my phone, or else I don't think I would still be alive right now. HAHA jk!

My trip to California was okay... I didn't get to see any friends with the exception of Rocky going to the mall with my nieces and I at one point. He doesn't count. LOL!

Relatives' wedding was... ehhhh... okay. I liked my dress, but camera was DEAD. How lame! I managed to snap a shot of myself with my phone for Sam though (and for Facebook, of course! LOL)

Can you believe they still leave the heads on the quails down there? OMG! I guess its normal for them, but I like my quails headless when they're on my plate. Sort of disturbing, but that little leg thats missing in this picture was pretty tasty! LOL

My Parents got to hang out with Sam's Parents quite a bit. His Mom and my Mom did some shopping together and oh my gosh... should have seen them in action! HAHA! We had dinner together 4 nights out of the 7 nights we were there, so it wasn't so bad. :)

My Mom did a whole lot of shopping... and I mean a LOT! She also got six different Khmer outfits made there for my wedding... SIX! WTF! I think she'll be changing more often than the Bride will be! I got a dress made there too... I can't wait for it! So excited!

I say that this trip was OKAY because I didn't have my own schedule and I was practically there to act as a chauffer to everyone. Ugh. I threw a few fits here and there... but overall, I was glad to spend as much time as I did with my family. My nieces, nephews, and I bonded... and we learned more about each other than we really needed to learn. HAHA!

I get to go see my Honey in exactly 7 days. OMG... I didn't even unpack yet and he's bugging me about packing and getting mad at me because I haven't packed yet. He thinks I'm not looking forward to seeing him, but lets let him think that for now!

Invitations... going out soon! Definitely need to compile all my addresses! :D

Ahhhh... so glad to be sleeping back in my own bed.

So much to do and such little time. Oh my!

1am...

Its 1am and I'm still not asleep. WHY? I really wish I knew.

So... watched The Hills earlier tonight. Oh my gosh... I still can't believe Audrina. The OTHER Woman!! I mean... I know that Brody is incredibly gorgeous and all... but damn! She was sitting there trying to justify herself and her actions... WHATEVERRR! I used to think that she was so pretty, but now when I see her, I'm just like... BLAH. Jayde still looks like a dude with a few too many cosmetic surgeries to me. I don't care if she's Playmate of the Year... whatever... she could be Playmate of the Century and I'd still think she looked like a plastic doll gone wrong. I'm such a hater... I know.

So I follow Jayde (and many others) on Twitter, and right now, she's mad at something. I wonder if its Audrina again or if she and Brody just got into a fight. 43 minutes ago, she tweeted with "Shady shady people!!". 22 minutes ago, she tweeted, "I hate stupid shady puppets!!! Just be your self... Fake people". 4 minutes ago, she tweeted, "Shitty ass puppet people!! Be real for once and not fake!!!". 2 minutes ago, she said, "Bullshit bullshit bullshit". Now 10 seconds ago, she goes, "No one is worth this"!!! Eeeeep! What/who could she be so upset about?

Its amazing how these celebrities are so consistent with their tweets. I mean... I have no life and I still can't find the time to tweet as much as they do. Holy moly! I wonder if any of them would ever notice me and my replies to them. HAHAHA!!

I have yet to do laundry and pack for my California trip this week. Hmmm... procrastination should just be my first name already rather than my middle.

I wonder what time I'm actually going to fall asleep today.

And in case you are wondering... YES... I still have tissues up my nose. If you want a picture, let me know. :) Goodnight!

I've been BAD...

This is one of the reasons why I hate being sick. I fall out of routine and then I do things that I probably wouldn't do if I was well.

For the past four days, I have been doing nothing but eating, eating, eating. I figured that throwing up the first day of getting sick would make up for it, but it hasn't. I'm horrible. I know that I shouldn't be so obsessed... but my WEDDING day is just around the corner and I am still ogre status. My stomach sticks out more than my boobs... and its not a pretty sight. What makes it worse is that I've been menstrual and like most girls, all I want is chocolates, sweets, chocolates, and sweets. FUCK!!! And to rub salt into the wound, I haven't moved my body out of bed enough to burn even the calories from a stick of sugar free gum! This is depressing thinking about what I've done the past four days. If I could do it over, I'd do it differently. I would only have three pieces of my nephew's birthday cake rather than four. LOL!

I get to see Sam again in 20 days... TWENTY!! I'm so excited! I get butterflies at the thought of it. No matter how bad my day had been or how upset I am with something, I forget about most of it (if not all) whenever I get to talk to him. Sure, I naturally have poor memory, but you know what I mean! Its crazy how I still go ga ga over him like a little school girl! Eeeek! I know I'm such a dork, but I can't even explain how I feel. Even when I call him with the intention of being angry or upset with him for something, it all goes away once he starts talkin'. He's so freakin' adorable! I really am lucky... ahhhhhh!!! I love hearing his monotone voice. HAHA!

Heading down to California with my Parents in a few days. Not sure if I'm really looking forward to it because I know that I'll be spending most of the time running errands. I'm nervous for my Parents and Sam's to meet... but I know that they'd get along great because they're all great people. Don't know if I'm really looking forward to the relatives' wedding because to be honest... I don't really know them. I'm just looking forward to shopping with my nieces (gotta find their dresses for my wedding) and hanging out with them. Its amazing how grown up they all are... sort of scary, actually. My oldest nephew is 19 years old... he was born when I was only five! What I love though is that they still have the respect and call me "E-Thyda"... no matter where we are or who we're with. :D

Okay... going to bed and hoping that I wouldn't have any weird or scary dreams tonight. I hate when I have weird dreams like that... scares the shit outta me! Ahhhh!

Goodnight... sweet dreams of me! ;)

Plus....!!

Totally trying my best to think positive. Its so beautiful out and I know that I will be okay enough to go running outside or maybe look at the garden, stand there and contemplate if I should try some gardening before I decide not to and go back in the house for some ice cream! LOL

I was reminiscing about the girls' trip to Vegas a couple years ago... best trip EVER!! If Cancun doesn't work out, we're going to find an alternative and wherever we may go, it will be a blast. I love being with carefree people who don't get their panties bunched in a knot or are really anal about things... that gets SO annoying. Especially love the fact that they don't do things to please others and are OKAY with just being themselves and living the moment. :)

I feel swollen.... for being in bed for so long. LOL... what to do now?

April 28, 2009

Swoons!!

I'm still swooning over my dress! LOL... okay so it might not be ALL that, but I love it anyway!

I almost gave up on looking for THE dress, but I'm glad I found it!

So... let me share my conversation with Mary this morning regarding the swine flu and our trip--

Mary: I heard that airlines are crediting people back if they booked to Mexico and they're not letting anyone enter Mexico.
Thyda: Hopefully it will be okay by then... if not, where else should we go?
Mary: CABO!
Thyda: Uhmmm... Cabo IS in Mexico!
Mary: Is it? OH...

LMAOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! She cracks me up! And what makes it even more funny is that she's the one who did all the booking and arrangements for this trip! HAHA!

Less than 4 weeks and I get to see my Baby again! YAYYYYY! Supposedly, the world sort of stopped when he left. HAHA! I mean... the guys don't even play poker anymore. THATS A BIG DEAL!!!

Leaving for California with my Parents in a week. Oh man... I don't know what happened to all my summer clothes!! Wish I was allowed to shop! Hmph! I miss the feeling of picking up something new and bringing it home like a puppy (except... I don't really like puppies unless they're really really cute. wait... shouldn't that be the same for my clothes? I confuse myself!)

Got that freakin' HALO song stuck in my head. Was singing it yesterday and my nephew asked me which Halo I'm singing about... as in which game edition of Halo. LOL!!

Oh man... I think I'm going to have to sneak away from my Parents (and Sams') for an hour to indulge in some Yogurtland. I've been craving! (There's this place in Southcenter called Tootie Frootie. The selection is less and its 39 cents an ounce rather than 30 cents like at Yogurtland! What a rip off!)

California Bound!

My ticket to California next weekend has been bought. WTF. I can't believe I'm going again and my Baby isn't even there! Boooo! Oh well... quality time with the sisters! :)
