Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year, everyone!

I know that its been a very long time since I even checked up on my own blog.  Sometimes, I get so caught up in what is really going on in life that I either can't find the time to blog or when I do, I just feel drained and don't do it altogether.  Most of the time though, I neglect it for so long that I don't know where to start when I actually want to.

This blog is intimidating to me at times.  I know that blogging should be a leisure rather than a task.  Its not really a task or anything on my TO DO list, but I just feel overwhelmed whenever I turn to it at times.  Usually, I have so much that I want to write about that it just takes over me and I don't start at all.  I know that this sounds silly, but those who have been doing this for awhile might understand me.

Also, when life gets too busy, there is very little time left to sit down and reflect.  I'm beating myself up for this now because I like documenting little things and then being able to go back and reminisce after time.

I am not very big on New Years' Resolutions, but this year, I can come up with a few.  I will start with one now.  In 2011, one of my resolutions is to be more consistent with my blogging.  Even if the entries are private (which some are), I will take my time to blog anyway.  I know that this resolution doesn't really affect anyone else but myself, but there it is in writing.  One of my declarations of 2011.

With that said, I hope everyone had a great time ringing in the New Year with loved ones.  May 2011 bring each and every one of you only the best in everything that you do and everything that you wish for.  Most importantly, wishing you all the best of health and happiness.

*hugs*

New Years' Resolution #1

Two more days until the new year and I have yet to come up with any real New Years' Resolutions. I told myself that I wasn't going to make any this year because I never follow through with them and disappoint myself every year. BUT... you have to have a resolution, even if you don't stick to it (unintentionally, of course)... its exciting to have a goal... even just for a day! LOL

I'll have more, but my first one will be...

1. Be nicer to the Husband

Okay I admit... I am a mean girl. I don't know how he does it but I know that if I was my own Husband, I wouldn't be able to handle me. I love him... therefore, I should be nicer, right? I'll try not to be so stubborn and try to be a little bit more patient.

There... I said it! And now, I have to really stick to it! Ahhhh...

MORE to come later! Got some things to work on today. Ciao!

To more good times like these in 2010!!

Snow... again?

I can NOT believe I just woke up to snow again!! I honestly did not expect it at all. There were NO signs that snow was going to happen yesterday. All took me by surprise.

I wanted to go running this morning, but with the snow, homie can't do that!

I've been thinking about my wedding a lot lately and I'm really really looking forward to marrying my Baby! He'll make such a great Husband and am so blessed to have him in my life. He makes me laugh and smile over and over again... and he doesn't even know it!

I have a bad habit -- eating when I'm NOT hungry. WTF is wrong with me? I'd get bored and next thing you know, I'm shoving handfuls of hot cheetos down my throat! A few of the girls and I were talking about this. We can't eat and do the things that we used to when we were seventeen anymore. I didn't realize how old I am until this discussion came up.

Oh... forgot to mention my aunt's New Years party the other night. I stopped by for a bit to eat and hang out with the fam before heading out. EVERYONE was there and it was so good to see relatives I haven't seen in awhile. A part of me didn't want to leave, but the bigger part of me knew that the old folks wouldn't even stay up past midnight... but surprisingly, I heard they did. I had a few too many champagnes and wines. My parents aren't drinkers, but my Mom wanted to buy beer for the party since she knew that my older cousins and stuff usually drink. So... she asked me to go pick some up for her. My Dad goes, "you're old enough to buy beer?" LMAO! My Dad is so cute! Yes Daddy... I'm still your little girl and I have never bought/drank/spilled alcohol in my life! (sarcasm) My little cousin and I poured the bubblies over and over for the elders. It was so much fun! I think we went through about 10 bottles of champagne within 15 minutes! :D Love my family too much.

New Years Resolution

I'm horrible at keeping New Year Resolutions, but you know what? I'm going to set some anyway! Maybe this will be THE year that I will follow through with them? Who knows?

  • Workout consistently
  • Run a 5K race or two
  • Save some money (hopefully)
  • Learn how to cook more
  • Watch what I eat
  • Better organize myself, my space, and my time
  • Send out Christmas cards (lol)
  • Stick with all my blogs
  • Start a piggy bank instead of losing all my chump change that could easily be hundreds by now
  • Learn how to be a great wife
  • Make this year the best year yet!!!
