When my horoscope is RIGHT on the DOT!

“You are doing a lot of deep thinking now, but you might decide not to go public with your thoughts. Nevertheless, you may come across as if your emotions aren't very important when you talk about them in a detached manner. Ironically, you may believe that changes are occurring, even if nothing happens. Be courageous and find your voice. Take a risk and express what's really in your heart.”

HOW FITTING AND RIGHT ON THE DOT!?!

The other day, I was talking to Sandy and she suggested that I continue to blog some more… like I used to before. My answer? Well, just read my horoscope above! That is exactly what is going on with me and in my mind.
 Its true… I AM a Sagittarius!

RESTART!

I will be the first to admit that I have been really bad at keeping my new years’ resolutions. In fact, I never even started it to begin with! 5 months through the year now and starting off the 6th, and I am still nowhere near beginning my new years’ resolutions. Horrible, horrible, horrible! Maybe I should just go with a mid-years’ resolution instead so that I can get a fresh start on it today? Okay… I will do just that! Let’s hope that I keep this mid-year’s resolution… cross your fingers, people!

Speaking of, I can’t believe its June already! This year definitely flew on by and as usual, I wish it would stop or slow down a little for me to catch up with everything. I guess it usually doesn’t work like that, does it? Oh well… I should feel blessed. I do feel blessed, actually.

I think I have much more to say, but this is just an introduction to my return.

Hello.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year, everyone!

I know that its been a very long time since I even checked up on my own blog.  Sometimes, I get so caught up in what is really going on in life that I either can't find the time to blog or when I do, I just feel drained and don't do it altogether.  Most of the time though, I neglect it for so long that I don't know where to start when I actually want to.

This blog is intimidating to me at times.  I know that blogging should be a leisure rather than a task.  Its not really a task or anything on my TO DO list, but I just feel overwhelmed whenever I turn to it at times.  Usually, I have so much that I want to write about that it just takes over me and I don't start at all.  I know that this sounds silly, but those who have been doing this for awhile might understand me.

Also, when life gets too busy, there is very little time left to sit down and reflect.  I'm beating myself up for this now because I like documenting little things and then being able to go back and reminisce after time.

I am not very big on New Years' Resolutions, but this year, I can come up with a few.  I will start with one now.  In 2011, one of my resolutions is to be more consistent with my blogging.  Even if the entries are private (which some are), I will take my time to blog anyway.  I know that this resolution doesn't really affect anyone else but myself, but there it is in writing.  One of my declarations of 2011.

With that said, I hope everyone had a great time ringing in the New Year with loved ones.  May 2011 bring each and every one of you only the best in everything that you do and everything that you wish for.  Most importantly, wishing you all the best of health and happiness.

*hugs*

How Rude!

So as you may already know, my Sister is now part of the blogging world. I must say that her posts are pretty amusing and I am slightly envious of the topic(s) that she chose to blog about. What a fun topic... shit that pisses you off! LOL

We are sitting on Melrose right now waiting for a meeting and thinking about her blog and the positive feedback inspired me to post something too!

I wish my life was interesting and I had more to write about!

Okay... more later... toodles!

"Who Hates It When...?"

So... my Sister was bored and decided to start a blog.

She just used me as one of her subjects... a source of hate.

Yeah... nice, right?

Anyway, please go read it (its kinda funny) and follow her!  Its her first blog EVER...!

I'm sort of scared of what she is going to write, to be honest.  Interesting, nevertheless.

Good Things are HAPPENIN'!

I have been a lot happier nowadays.  My friends have noticed it.  My Husband noticed it.  Heck, even I noticed it!

Things are slowly but surely looking up for me and I can honestly say that I am happy doing what I do.  Of course, its not as fast paced as I would like for it to be at the moment, but its going somewhere.

Its Halloween weekend and I barely have Halloween on my mind.  I actually just want to stay home and work on a few projects that really need to get done.  I used to live by the motto, "work hard, but play harder"... but why is it that I just want to work harder and harder and not play at all?  Another sign of old age, is it?

I can't be a party pooper and I can NOT neglect my family and friends though.  I must live by my motto (for this blog, anyway), "Cherish The Moments".

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween weekend!

*hugs*

OH... of course, I did another update on my OTHER blog:  http://thydalim.blogspot.com

And if you haven't already, check out my site (that is still under construction):  http://thydalim.com

Just going back and forth...

Hello, READERS... and a special welcome to all of my new followers!  Where did you all come from?  JUST KIDDING... I know of the wonderful place that all of you are from!  ;)

Sorry I've been a little M.I.A. again, but I've been pretty busy.  As you can see from my last post, I had a show to do this past weekend.  I've posted more about it here on my other blog (which is more related to my adventures as a Makeup Artist):  http://thydalim.blogspot.com/  If you want to go to that post directly, then here is the link to that post:  All the FUN is Backstage... really!

I had a wonderful wonderful weekend and I am disappointed in myself for posting this way late... its already over halfway until the weekend again.  Ahhhh!

More updates coming soon... I promise!

My Parents are the cutest and have sent me a package and it just arrived.  I need to make my way to that now.  Talk to you lovelies later!

*hugs and kisses*

Aloha!

I am still alive!  I promise!  (Sorry to break the news to some... hehe!  JK)

I can now say that I know what its like for feel jet lagged!  After a week in beautiful Hawaii with my Husband, I didn't want to come back home.  Seriously, he was considering requesting for a transfer out there and everything!  I must say though, that I would miss my friends, family, and life on the mainland way too much if that was to ever happen.  Its an island... you can't just hop in a car and drive away.  For now, I can dream.

Much to do now... including uploading pictures and sharing a bit of paradise with everyone.  Though this is my second time in Oahu, this was the better... may even be the best time EVER!  I fell even more in love with my Husband in a beautiful place... it felt like a dream or fantasy of some sort... but it was real.  SO REAL!

I have so much that I need to update and post about, but I keep putting it off.  There's too many great things that happened that I can't just not share.  There are memories that will live on in my head, but I need a place to jot it all down because I just know that there are many more memories to be created and I don't want to forget any of it.  This has been and will continue to be a place for me to put it all down and out there so that I can refer to it when need be.

Anyway... I hope everyone's been doing well.  Confession again... I haven't been up to date with the blogs, the emails, the facebooks, the tweets.  Shoot me.

Returning Soon!

If I got a nickel for every time I said that I was going to come back and post more, I'd have almost a dollar by now... or at least 50 cents!

Its been a pretty busy ride for me.  But if you were to ask me what I've gotten done, the answer is probably "nothing".  Nothing extravagant or praise thirsting, that is.  This is going to be one crazy and fun-filled summer and it already started before I was even ready!  Have you noticed that when you hope for time to stand still or at least slow down, it just seems to speed up even faster than it did before you asked it to turn down the pace?  I guess time and life is just as hard headed as I am.

These past few months, I've learned a lot about people closest to me, which includes myself.  I learn new things about myself everyday and I have to admit that I didn't know myself as well as I thought I did.  I still surprise myself at times (and yes, I do jump).

Well, I promise to come back and elaborate on everything I have been meaning to for the past few months.  I just got an email today that excite me and made me realize that I should keep up with my blog more than I have been lately.  The number of readers I have still amazes me.  For awhile, I thought that no one read my blogs, but as the time goes by, I've noticed that I would get more responses on my posts (no matter how meaningless).  Also, the messages/emails/tweets that you readers send me are constant reminders that I am not really writing or talking to myself... I am talking to you!  Thanks for listening, by the way.  I honestly don't know why I stopped writing (publicly).  There's a part of me that somewhat wishes that my blog was anonymous and no one knew who the author behind this blog was so that I can be free to write and say whatever I want without stepping on toes.  But on the contrary, I love getting responses and comments from YOU (readers and responders) who let me know when I am out of line or when they concur.  Its those comments that remind me that I am human and my opinion is sometimes not the best, but I also have my moments when there are others who have already walked the path that I am about to start on or are currently on the same journey as I am.  And THAT is what makes it much more fun.

I have been blogging for years and years... it may not have been here on blogspot.com, but it had been everywhere you can imagine.  My friends used to make fun of me or think that I was silly for doing so... and often teased me fore spending too much of my time doing it.  Whats funny is that all of a sudden its the new "in" thing and there is so much hype about it when I was just getting over it.  I feel that blogs are a way for you to express yourself, not attempts to impress others.  Oh well... we all write with different purposes and I shouldn't let others' purposes turn me off and away from mine.

Before I ramble about sweet nothings like I usually do, let me sign off and take a breather before I get back into my blogging streak.  Talk to you soon!

I Did It!

Please don't mind any typos or junk... blogging from my phone is a lot of work, but I'd do it for you!

Wow... its been a very long while since I have posted anything here, hasn't it?  At the end of March, I decided to take a short hiatus from my blog and focus on what I mentioned in one of my prior posts... job hunting.  Its been quite a ride and still, I have no job to my name.  I'm hopeful though... I just walked out of my third round of interview with a company that I would love love love to work with.  This is a very long process, and I just hope that it all works out for the better and its all worthwhile.  I've never had to go through so many rounds of interviews before in my life and never have I had to hold my breath for so long.  Hopefully soon, I can breathe freely and happily.

About my hiatus, it wasn't meant to be this long... I set a goal for a month and that was it.  In fact, I didn't even know if I can do it or not.  Needless to say, I exceeded that month goal and a few days.  Thank you to my sweet readers who messaged me, text messaged me, emailed me, facebooked me, tweeted me, you guys are awesome!  Its those little messages that I get from you's that brighten my day and remind me that there are people out there who are listening to what I have to say... no matter how pointless or silly it could be.  *hugs*  I've missed you all too.  I've also neglected my Google Reader and for those who use it, you should know that it might take forever and a day for me to get caught up.  Don't get me wrong... I love to read your posts and thoughts and I will get to it, I promise.  It might take a little longer, but I will get to it.  Don't mind me if you see a comment from me that is about a month behind... you know the deal.  :)

So here I am sitting at a Starbucks in Los Angeles just taking a little break before I hit the road back home.  Its nice to be out here, but I guess LA residents prefer The Coffee Bean over Starbucks.  I've never had The Coffee Bean, but I guess I will have to give it a shot.  According to Yelp, its better than Starbucks?  Well I must say... a lot of coffee shops are better than Starbucks, but I had this gift card that was just waiting to be used.  :)

Enough about my ranting... this is sort of blah.  Many many more posts coming and I have a product review and giveaway that needs to be done.  Be on the look out for that!  :)  This past month was very eventful and I had lots that I wanted to say and share with all of you.  Now, it seems so long ago and a blur... and I don't remember much of it, really.  Time really does fly and again, the title of my blog is SO fitting.  Cherish the Moments.

Reminiscing...

Good Friday Morning!

First off, let me just say that I have the best followers and readers!  Thank you folks so much for commenting on my posts and making me feel like I'm not talking to myself afterall.  You make it fun to blog and always put a smile on my face and make my day.  I LOVE reading your blogs as well and through them, I feel like I am getting to know all of you... little by little and I enjoy it so much!  *hugs*

Speaking of getting to know each other, its funny that I was going to post this anyway... what a coincidence!  A few weeks ago when I went back home to WA, I brought my old photo albums and scrapbooks with me.  Its interesting to look at pictures that were printed out before digital cameras and social networking websites were accessible to everyone.  I got a bit nostalgic as I reminisced through each picture.  Ahhhh... good ol' times!  I wish I had a scanner to scan the pictures that I have left.  There was one sad day of my life that happened shortly after high school when my car was broken into and stolen.  My car(s) were stolen many times and I sort of got used to it, but one time, it really broke my heart.  All of my loved possessions were in there.. tons of my clothes and my hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars worth of makeup (I usually drive back and forth from my Parents' place to mine at the time and was usually too tired by the time I got home to unload everything out of the car back into my apartment and told myself that I'd wait until the next morning).  Most importantly, thousands of pictures in at least 5 photo albums and all of my yearbooks from middle and high school were in there.  :(  I had those photo albums and yearbooks in my car at the time because I was just bringing them from my Parents' place to mine that night.  There goes all of my beloved friends' and family's pictures that I couldn't recover because most of them were before the digital camera era and it would be impossible to go to each person and ask them for the negatives to the pictures that they have given me.  My classmates' pictures that were so precious because each person was only given 24 or so of their wallet sized pictures to give to those that they are closest to... me being one of the lucky ones.  Gone.  My precious yearbooks and all the memories written throughout the pages by friends and classmates... gone.  I cherished those years and those people and the friendships and the pictures were visual memories of all the good times we shared.  I was torn.  A huge lesson (never leave prized possessions in your car) learned but left me broken hearted.  *sigh*

There was ONE scrapbook that was saved (I already had it at my apartment at the time)... and it was my Personality Scrapbook that was a high school project for my Psychology class.  I go through it often because it had some pictures (definitely NOT all) from my younger years.  There's one portion of it where I had to ask 5 people to fill out a short personality survey that shows how they perceive me.  Its funny to read what they have to say... and it always makes me smile.

Ever wonder what people's first impression of you were?
I was shocked!  I didn't realize people THOUGHT I was mature, old, stuck up, and "weird"!  LOL... its good to know that their perceptions of me changed after getting to know me.  :)

Do you ever take the time to just sit back and reflect on your past?
When were your happiest moments and what are some of your favorite memories?
Are you a dork like I am and enjoy going through old pictures and try to relive the moments?
Tell me more, tell me more!

Sunshine Award...

Catching up on my Google Reader all day and I found such a pleasant surprise!  Madi at short shorts & sunshine awarded me with the "Sunshine Award"!!

I've never gotten a blog award before, so I was just THRILLED!!  I was on the verge of skipping all my reads, but something told me that something good was in there and I was missing out on it.  This MUST be it.  :)

Now, I am going to have to pass this award on to Winniepedia because her blog always makes me giggle because it always reminds me so much of me.  And you know... anyone who is anything like me MUST be cool!  :P  OH... and I can always count on her to let me know when I should get new underwear.  *giggles*

Thanks again, Madi... and great goin', Winniepedia!!

I... Can't... Do... It!!

Today, I thought long and hard about this blog. This blog is the reason for my guilt so early in the morning. This blog is the reason why I cannot get certain things done. On the flip side, this blog is my friend. This blog is the ear that will always be open and listen to all of my gibberish without once asking me to shut up (despite the occasional errors I get after trying to post something, but that's a different story). No matter how ridiculous my thoughts or how useless my words are, my blog had been here for me.

I've cheated on this beloved friend of mine a few times and tested the waters of livejournal. After a year or two, this blog was willing to take me back... no questions asked.

CONFESSION: I've been doing some lurking around and my eyes were wandering elsewhere... to places like Wordpress and Tumblr. It interested me in ways that made me feel like it was something new and fresh... like a fresh piece of meat waiting for me to devour it. I didn't devour it though... I only licked it a few times. They weren't the taste that I was looking for... but I kept licking just in case it was and I was missing it all. After all that, I knew that I couldn't resist coming back to what I've had and loved for years. I am ashamed for thinking that the grass was greener on the other side. Even if it is greener on the other side, I am content being on the dry and brittle side where memories and the kind of love shared is irreplaceable.

This morning, I almost ended this blog... but I just couldn't. I can't. I wouldn't.

So here's a toast to more gibberish blogging... and an extra kiss to the ex girlfriends who claim to not care but always come back to visit and wonder what I'm up to. If you were near, I'd give you a hug and tell you that its okay to find me interesting because honey... I find myself interesting too! :)

Its Been Awhile...

Its been awhile since I blogged, huh? I sort of miss it, but I don't. For awhile I forgot the fact that I even had a blog! I know that doesn't sound so great since I have been telling myself to write more, but I've been too busy and distracted to even find the time. :( Right now, I am in bed and should be sleeping since it is about 1:30am, but I remembered my blog and wanted to show it some love.

CONFESSION: I have been thinking about moving my blog and organizing my thoughts into various ones. A part of me still wants to keep this going since I've had it for quite some time... but I don't know. I am so torn. We will see how I feel in the morning.

I will be going out to Huntington Beach with Jackie tomorrow morning to pick up her bib number for her race. Excited for her... its her second race already. I still have yet to run a race like I had wanted to... but I will, one day. Afterwards, its hanging out with the girls for lunch and a movie. I'm looking forward to it... much needed break.

Tomorrow we are also celebrating my Brother in Law's birthday. I've been helping his girl plan it... so I am very excited for it. As usual, we are going to have a great time!

Alright... falling asleep. There had been some things I have been wanting to write about so maybe I will find some time this weekend. I hope you all didn't miss me too much.

Hugs and Kisses!!

Inspired

I've neglected my blog for some time. Its obvious, I know... please don't make me feel worse about it than I already do. I just got bored with it and ... okay fine... I have a confession.

I've found a new love. Her name is Twitter. I know a lot of people think that its silly and whatnot, but I am in love with it and I don't care what you say. Facebook was so 18 months ago and Twitter is getting old too, but the love I have for it is fresh and new... and addicting. I've not only neglected my blog, but I've neglected Facebook. I am a horrible friend who no longer knows what is going on with my friends. I used to be entertained by pictures and posts that my friends would make, but that doesn't spark my interest as much anymore. Wait... thats not what I mean. My friends still interest me and all, but I'm tired of seeing the same ol' pictures on everybody and their momma's pages. Maybe a part of me is jealous that I am a thousand miles away and not a part of it? *shrugs*

Why I love Twitter? I can follow anyone who makes my heart jump a little and it will be OKAY. I can tweet the most random things and lose a few followers because it rubs them the wrong way, but that is fine with me... make more room for other followers who probably follow me just in hopes that I'd follow back. Sometimes, I'd check out their profiles and if they seem interesting enough, a click of the FOLLOW button is all it takes for them to let me in on their world as I have with mine.

I get everything I need there! Some of my friends are on there (thank goodness so I wouldn't be COMPLETELY out of the loop). I get my news updates, my job postings, my OMGfacts (so random, I love)... and even some ridiculous tweets that I can't help but LOL to. I've also followed some great writers and their style intrigues me. I can spend my whole day on Twitter and not get bored. Seriously... give it a shot. Oh wait... don't give it a shot because if you do, you might be as addicted as I am.

Anyway... I'm inspired to spend more time on my blog and really express my true feelings. Its therapeutic. I also intend to show my own style and more of my personality. Many don't really care for it, but thats okay... just baffles me why they still check back up on me (but I appreciate it)!

As for my project, still under works and in need of research. I promise to share soon. As I told a few friends, I hate to count my chicks before they hatch.

Until next time, stay warm and dry... and tell the loved ones I say 'hi'. (OMG... did I just rhyme?)

Hiatus!

Taking a few days off, but will be back in a few days. Don't forget to check back. I might have something to share sooner than you think! ;)

MEMORIES!!

This morning, I was reminiscing about the good times we had on our way to Havasu. We thought up this little game where everyone took turns lip synching into the camera. We didn't have a choice... we weren't able to choose the songs that we had to lip synch to... we just had to do it... on the spot! Freakin' Durand was camera man and punked out and didn't even do it when it came to his turn!

I texted them all this morning reminding them of the good times. Ahhhh... I accidentally said, "on our way to Tahoe" and Paline's like, "dork! I didn't go to Tahoe with you... but do you mean Havasu?" or something like that. LOL... totally spaced out and I didn't even know it!

Sam's first day at the new jobby job is today. MAN... I don't know how I'm gonna handle him being gone for so long. As I said, its not like we live close anyway, but the thought of him being even further away is so hard to bare. Ahhh. I guess I'll be in Georgia for his graduation... maybe even earlier. YAY!!

He really is my BEST FRIEND and I really can go to him with anything. I can vent to him for hours and he'd still take it. Yeah... he'll drift off every now and then, but I don't really blame him. Last night, I think I was just babbling on and on non stop to the point where he goes, "Babe... you talk so much... I need to sleep". What an ass!! He's getting a punch for it next time I see him.

LMAO... Maccara just text me, "too bad it wasn't Tahoe, it was Havasu. LOL. Fun times". Okay, now I really feel like an idiot. HAHAHA... they all should know me by now though.

I'm addicted to my blog. And NO... I don't get money for the sales and crap that I post. Though I should really look into it, huh? Its all for fun and I love sales and discounts so much that I just wanna share with errrrrrrrrrybody!

BACK!!

I know that its probably a headache to see that I am hopping back and forth so much between blogger and livejournal. Though I do love livejournal, I just love how I can just blog straight to my google account on here. Besides, I just want to keep all my blogs in the same account (sort of) and keep them all together.

That being said, I hope Blogger/Blogspot welcomes me back. Even if it doesn't, thats just too bad because I have already made myself at home! :)

Only 20 more hours until the new year. You wouldn't believe how much I am looking forward to a new start... a new chance of having a great year altogether. This year failed... miserably.

Its nearly 4am and I am still not asleep. The crazy wind had knocked down the star lights hanging outside and its now swaying across my bedroom window. I'm too scared to actually go out there and put it back in place right now, so I'm not going to and there's nothing you can do about it. Blah!

I have NOTHING to wear tomorrow night... or shall I say... TONIGHT! Kind of ironic coming from someone who blogs about shopping, huh? SaveTheMoneyHoney.blogspot.com

Back to LiveJournal

... but for how long?

I know... I'm a traitor. So I've abandoned my LiveJournal for quite some time and found a new home on Blogger. Why? Because I figured that Blogger was cleaner and didn't have all these extra features and functions that I didn't need (like here). It was fine and all... but man, how I miss my few buddies on LiveJournal. Actually defeats the purpose of moving to Blogger since I'm back here spying on my friends anyways, huh?

Sabrina gave me this link where I can actually link both of my blogs together... but nope... doesn't work for me. I think its because its only compatible with Windows. Maybe one day I'll convert back from a Mac, but thats less likely to happen than me converting back from Blogger to LiveJournal.

For now, I'll go through the hassle of copy and pasting my entries to both. Lame, I know... but I guess it only takes a few extra seconds, right? Besides... I love the fact that I can make SOME entries on LJ private. *mischievous laugh*

In the meantime... I wonder if any of my designer buddies would be willing to make me a more THYDA layout. *hint hint, wink wink*
