LFO - RIP Rich Cronin :(

Yesterday was a sad day.  Rich Cronin of LFO (He is the blonde one in the picture to the left) died of Leukemia at the young age of 35. Who could forget the catchy songs like "Summertime" and "Girl on TV"?  I am a huge fan of boy bands, and LFO was one of the bands whose song always brought a smile to my face.  Abercrombie & Fitch better have paid them lots of money for their indirect promotion because I swear they made the brand that much more popular.  I only had about 6 or 7 Abercrombie pieces in my closet, but I will admit that part of the reason why I purchased those pieces was because of the line, "I like girls that wear Abercrombie & Fitch".  HELLOOOO... I wanna be liked by LFO so of course I'm going to wear it... or try to wear it!

"Girl on TV" was also one of my favorites... I used to wish that I was Jennifer Love Hewitt in the video!  Gosh, I was such a teeny bopper... and a little something inside me tells me that I still am!

Although we haven't heard much from LFO as of late, Rich Cronin will be truly missed.  He's beautiful... and in my opinion, puts Nick Carter to shame (sorry BSB... I love you too... but I'm just sayin'!).  *sigh*  Rest in Peace, Rich... I really hope the Chinese Food up there doesn't get you sick anymore and that the Angels around you wear Abercrombie & Fitch.

Its been awhile since I posted anything about music because I've been hung up on good ol' Christmas songs that I often catch myself listening to in July. Hey... the songs make me happy and give me a warm feeling inside... is that okay with you? Gosh! Alright... but since Christmas had come and gone, I am back into my easy listening music that gets me going. If I like a song, I usually listen to it nonstop until someone MAKES me or just breaks the source so I wouldn't get to listen to it anymore (hater).

Not too long ago, I heard this song and thought that it was beautiful. I never got a chance to look up the video or anything but for some reason, I woke up early this morning thinking about it and so I youtubed it and fell even more in love with the song... and the video. I am posting this everywhere, I know. I just love this song! Its been my jam all weekend long... and I'm still not tired of it after hearing it on repeat nonstop for the past 72 hours. Yeah... I like it THAT much!

I realized that I love Colbie Caillat and her songs! This one in particular, makes me feel like I'm floating or am in a dream. Its so sweet... and the music video makes me like it even more. So cute! Hehe... I'm such a nerd... here listening to it and thinking about Sam and I. Yeah... we have our moments. But at the end of the day, we don't go to bed angry at each other and I'm fallin' in love with him all over again... everyday.

Okay... while I'm here... recap of the weekend, shall we?

Friday -- Guys came over for cards again. I was planning to get some work done, but that didn't really happen. I like the fact that they'd rather stay in and come over and play cards for a couple of bucks and enjoy each other and good company rather than be out at the bars and the clubs. Peace of mind for me because I am one to worry about the little things and everything. Thats something I've learned about myself lately... is that I need to calm down and not be so concerned. Take a chill pill, Thyda!

Saturday -- Sovina and Jordan's birthday extravaganza! I made some chicken satay sticks and lemon pepper shrimp skewers for them because I knew that there will be a lot of drinking done and people should really eat something before they get sick! So... we rolled up in a hummer limo to Boulevard 3 on Sunset in LA. When we got there, a friend got really sick and thank goodness Diane was coming to meet up with us. She's our savior! Sam and I ended up bringing our friend over to Diane's and had her stay there instead of taking a cab home to Long Beach because that would have been very expensive and not very safe. After we got her settled in, we went back to the club that I once fell in love with only to find that they ran out of tacos!!!! BUT... they still had strawberry (and other berries) chocolate fondue! Hehehe... yes... at a club! The birthday kids had fun and thats whats important! Sam and I hadn't gone out clubbing together for awhile, so it was nice to get our groove on for a minute! HAHA... then we left to go get our friend ready for our ride back but Hummer Driver was mad that there was puke in the hummer and he had to clean it up and that a champagne glass was broken. I don't blame him... but man! We almost got left stranded at Diane's in LA. She offered for us to stay the night, but I think it was best if we were to get home. Almost got a cab, but sweetie Diane wouldn't allow that and freakin' drove us all the way home! We didn't get home until 4am... so I assume her and Derek didn't get home until around 5am. Very kind of them!

See... I love how people just genuinely care. They would be selfless and do things without being asked, without complaining, and truly out of their own good heart. I've realized that there are people who are all about them and then there are the few who would actually put others first wholeheartedly. Not because they want the recognition, but because they... as I said... CARE. We need more people like that. Thanks Diane and Derek!

Sunday -- Nice chillaxin' day with my Husband. I made him breakfast... almost in bed! HAHA... we don't have a breakfast in bed tray (although I sort of want one now), so I just woke him up to come eat with me outside while watching football. It was a well deserved big breakfast... more like brunch! We had a long and hard night. I just wanted to stay in and chill out. We ran a few errands then came home and had dinner. Probably the most chill day we've had since I've moved down here, surprisingly. Thank goodness he has the day off tomorrow. I don't like his schedule so much, but I like it when he's home. :)

Okay... lots of cleaning up to do (I always say that, huh?)! Toodle loo!

I don't know why, but I really like this song and the video is just crazy!! Makes me love PINK even more. I've always loved her and her music though. She's so psycho! I LOVE IT!!

Ahhh... I can't wait to finally dance with HIM to this song. He's so amazing... only 4 more weeks and then I'm back in his arms! Its been a crazy few months and I'm surprised that I was able to handle this. I'm getting so teary eyed just thinking about him and visualizing our wedding and our entire lives together. Its such a great feeling being in love and knowing that someone loves me as much as he does. Getting married at the age of 24 seems a bit young... but I think I am just blessed really early! :P

OMG... so I think I got Thuy hooked on Twitter! (Thuy is one of my old middle school best friends! She was one of the other two Asian girls in the entire school! Thyda, Tu, Thuy... we were known as the 3T's!! HAHA! Oh... and Thuy and I were also in this other girl group called "G.W.A." that stood for "Girls With Attitude", but that deserves a blog entry of its own! Ahhh... the memories!) Anyway... so a few nights ago, she messaged me on Facebook blaming me for her not sleeping until WAYYYYY late because she was on my Twitter page and couldn't get off. The next night, same thing... she couldn't sleep because she was hooked on Twitter w/o an account. Now, she officially has a Twitter account and I'm guessing she loves that thing! I just updated 7 minutes ago, and just now, I got a message sent to my phone saying, "Thuy nudged you to update your Twitter". LOL... 7 minutes between posts too long for you? Oh my! I don't think she'll be sleeping much anymore! Wuahahhaha!

Okay... now back to my lullaby and dreaming about my handsome Husband to be! :)

LOL!! Okay so for the past half hour, I've been listening to this over and over. I don't care what they're saying (although its funny as hell), but with this beat, I can't sit still. Michael shared it with me earlier and if I go around singing this song, I'm going to kill him!!



I like the version that Nack and Bunthoeun did a couple years ago at the New Years' show. If I remember correctly, they were rapping/singing about durian. Maybe its better because they're my friends and in my opinion, they rock!

Oh... and so the topic of Will Demps came up (damn.. he's foine!). I forgot how foine he was. I first fell in love with him while watching CRIBS. Ahhhh! It started on Ranny's status and then she posted these pictures of him... and oh my goodness! I was on the phone with Sam earlier and I couldn't stop talking about my Will! I sent him a picture of Will and he was like, "whatever... your man (Will) sucks". I think I just made him self conscious and he's gonna be at the gym every freakin' day now. Ooops?!?! LOL!

Feeling a bit OGRE status lately. Okay fine... A LOT ogre status. Ugh. I love food too much and am too damn lazy for my own good.

Hopefully with the help of my new online workout coach/nutritionist, that can change. She seems very healthy and from what I see... WISE!

Now, if only I can actually follow through on all that she's taught me.

I need someone to kick my ass and I need to rekindle my love for my gym again. What ever happened to the sparks and flames we once had? WHERE DID OUR LOVE GO!?!

Whoa!!

Oh my gosh... totally forgot that I was in the middle of writing something for reals... then I got sort of distracted!!

I had a lot of fun exploring downtown Long Beach all by myself yesterday after having lunch with Sam and his coworkers again. Then, I found my new LB hot spot and ready to hit it up again today. After Sam got off work, I had to come home and work on something on the computer real quick, then we went out and played until we got hungry and found ourselves some papaya salad and prahok ktis at home. OMG... I don't think I can EVER get sick of those two dishes. Seriously... my favorites! Yummmm! Sam's parents laugh at me for loving prahok ktis so much and how I'm not tired of it. Sam's Mom is so sweet... she always always makes the best food. And since her Baby (Sam) is leaving for three months, she feels so sorry for him and keeps making EVERYTHNG that he requests. Spoiled ass guy! Its okay though because I get to eat it too!

We watched some Khmer karaoke with his Dad until about midnight last night. Good times. His Dad and I have the same taste in music. He bought MY Dad some DVDs. I got sort of jealous and asked him why he buys it for my Dad and not for me. :P He laughed and said that I don't need it! LOL!

This morning, I ran along the beach all by myself. OMG... amazing! If I lived here, I would run along there ALL the freakin' time! Makes me want to live here even more! Then, went to visit my Sister and my Nephew.

So Sleepy...

I just dropped Sam off at work and now back at home and tempted to go back night night. Miso sleepy!

GREAT weekend... as expected. The gang decided to have dinner at Kim Su, as we usually do because its BOMB! Its like our birthday dinner spot here or something and we even have a "usual" order. It took us awhile to decide what we wanted to do later since almost all the guys were already too drunk the night before. They were all partied out. Old asses! HAHA... jk!

We finally decided to come over to Sam's place and do some karaoke-ing. We got EVERYONE involved except Mikal because he got a little bit too drunk off the "Margarita Shots" that I made. HAHA... they were so cute and they really did take them as shots! After a few, its safe to say that they got as drunk if not even more drunk off those than the regular margaritas because they took them so fast! I also made some lemon drop shots... yummy! Poor Birthday Boy Mikal was SO red... it was SO funny, dude! He kept on trying to get someone to sing Beyonce's "Single Ladies" so I can do the dance. Sorry dude... I only do that in the kitchen while making drinks where only you and your wife can see me. HAHAHA! I was a great song chooser! We even got Sam to sing our wedding song to me, "Making Memories of Us"... and D.Long sang, "Everytime I Close My Eyes" to Lily! Sivhui and Mac sang a duet! Soooooo freakin' cute! Should have heard Lily sing "Lady Marmalade" and Lyna sing a Britney Spears song for me! Hehehe... Paline was PRO... fo sho! Gooooood times! I tried not to cry when the dudes were singing to their ladies... including Sam! HAHA... awww... my Baby!!

We had our engagement photo shoot yesterday with Mikal in Laguna Beach, "on top of the world"! The location itself limited us to not very many photos, but I'm excited to finally get something for our invitations. YAY! Can't wait to see them! Afterwards, Sam brought me to Laguna Beach and I just wanted to SLEEP there and get my tan on. It felt SO good! There was so much traffic on the way back on P.C.H... and when we tried to get back on the other highway (not sure which one it was), it took forever and a day! I got a good hour and something nap just on our way back. AND... I got my new phone! Thanks Baby!! If I drop this one in the toilet, he's going to kill me for sure!!

I slept all throughout the Superbowl, but I hear that Cardinals didn't come out on top. :( I think every Washingtonian is anti Steelers since the last Superbowl with Seahawks VS Steelers. Should see all my friends' updates right after the game.. they were all so pisst!

Then last night, we went to hang out with my nieces and nephews for a bit. Awww... I've missed them. I can't believe some of the shit that they have to go through. Now, I feel guilty for being angry and pisst off at them from time to time. I love them and they are a lot stronger and braver than I am.

Okay... gonna see if I can squeeze in a nap before I go have lunch with my Baby! Toodles!
