There is no way that I would wait in line for over an hour to watch a movie. I don't care how much I have anticipated something, there is just NO way. WHY would people do that when they can just see it the following day without the hassle and the wait? Might as well go to bed and be well rested and refreshed to enjoy the movie, right? I don't think I would ever understand why people do the things that they do... for The Twilight Saga.
My friends and I read the books about two years ago before the movies were out and before the big hype. I admit... I loved the books and was really looking forward to the movie, but not to the point where I would even consider standing in line for over half an hour for. Maybe I am just impatient? Or maybe I am not THAT passionate about it? The story line is great and the books were well written... and that is why I like the saga. But come on... what is up with all the overhype? Seeing all these crazy "fans" going overboard for it just pushes me further away from it.
Let me just say... Robert Pattinson is NOT the sexiest man alive. Edward was so much hotter in my mind and imagination. I think the actor kind of ruined it for me. Sorry Rob, I know I am not a very pretty girl either so I have no room to judge or criticize anyone of their looks, but I don't think these new "fans" understand why Edward is so "HOT". If I was to see the movie before I read the book, I wouldn't be so attracted to the Edward that lived in the book. Looks are subjective... I know, I know... but in my opinion, uhhh... NO.
Kristen Stewart is not fit to be Bella. Are you joking me? And to top it off, she is a horrible and stiff actress. She really lucked out when she got casted for this role (how? I don't know). Now that she had made it as an A-list star, you would think that she would clean it up a bit and be more presentable, right? Wrong again. Kristen, you are a very lucky girl... VERY lucky.
Taylor Laughtner... I am not crazy about his looks, but I admit that he is what I had pictured him to be. He is very fit for the role, and he is a true star... the best actor of the three. I can see him going beyond his 'Jacob' role. (And I am not only saying this because he is attractive... as I said, I am not too crazy about his looks)
"Eclipse" was probably my favorite book out of the four. Like the two earlier movies though, I was disappointed. I guess you can never expect movies to be exactly like books (which is unfortunate), but I really had higher expectations because the director was apparently the better one of the three. Don't get me wrong, I think that the quality and pictures are better than both "Twilight" and "New Moon", but it just didn't meet my expectations. There were details that were left out in the movie... and from what I can remember of the book, a few minor changes and additions. Maybe I should reread the book to confirm, but from what I remember, a few slight changes.
I was disappointed with the scene that I was anticipating most... the camping scene! This might be a bit too much information, but reading those parts in the book kind of turned me on! Too bad they cut that part short in the movie, but it was definitely an entertaining part of the movie.
I won't get into details about it because I know that a lot of people still haven't seen it. Yesterday, Sam had the day off and we were both up pretty early and decided to make it to the first showing at 10am because we didn't want to run into the teenage rush in the evening and paying less for the early bird showing is always a major plus. I was terrified when I saw a group of about twenty 6 or 7 year olds waiting in line. Little did I know that they were the least of my worries. Sam and I got great seats, but as the theater filled, I had to move my bag off the seat next to me for a girl to sit down with her friends next to her in the other three seats. Oh well... not a big deal, right? WRONG... it IS a big deal when the girl is talking throughout the movie. Not only to her friends who were there with her, but she was on the phone and had a good ten minute conversation with someone on the other end of the line. Really? Then, imagine her screaming obnoxiously and obviously for attention every time a wolf came on the screen. And yes, there were wolves about every 5 minutes of the two hours. I guess she didn't see the two movies prior because she sat there asking her friend who was who and what and why things were happening. My goodness... have some courtesy for others in the theater who paid their money and wanted to enjoy a show. She also had her cell phone out the entire time and was texting... and when she missed a part, she would ask her friend, "what happened?". LOOK B*TCH... pay attention to the movie and you wouldn't have to ask that!!! I was so irritated. I know anyone who hears this or is reading this is wondering why I didn't say anything. Well, I am a chicken. She was a lot bigger than I am and I overheard her saying some stuff about beating someone before the movie started. I was scared. I wish I had some balls to tell her off, but I didn't. Easier said than done... and I would like to go to Miami next week with all of my teeth and without a blue/black ring around my eye.
Thanks to her though, I will probably have to see the movie again... perhaps on DVD.
Who else had read the book and/or seen the movie? What do you think?
Also... have you ever experienced anything like what I did at the theater? How do you deal with it?

Manic Monday!
What a weekend it was! Briefly (or try to be), let me reflect.
Friday, a nice and relaxing evening at home with some curry. I made spicy duck fried rice earlier that day for Sam's lunch... talk about grub all day! Went to bed full, which is always good and bad... depends on how you look at it.
Saturday, Sam had to work (boo), but we made it to Rocky and Kat's place to watching the boxing match. I never get into the fights because... I just didn't see how watching people get beat up could be fun. BUT, I actually gave it a try this time and it was pretty intense. Maybe because I was busy twittering about Cotto's face and how it was good looking before and not so much afterwards. Homie was beat and swollen. Poor guy! Hung out with Rocky's family and Bo... ate some yummy food that Kat cooked up for us. I'm so glad I found another Twilight junkie... she's crazy! She already has her New Moon tickets and just bought a New Moon blanket! So funny! Then, Rocky's 10 year old nephew jumped in the conversation and thats when we realized that we're still reading the same book a 10 year old does! LOL! I wanna go see it on Friday too... maybe Sam will surprise me and get off early and bring me? Haha... wishful thinking!
Sunday... busy busy day it was! Lunch with my baybay at home... and then it was a day full of shopping! We got some frames for our pictures (finally), and also picked up our Christmas tree and decorations. Sam isn't big on celebrating, but he knows I am and the holidays always make me feel giddy inside so he got into it too! Which, by the way, we still need to put up. Then, we went to Westminster to do some more shopping and before going to the grocery store down there, we stopped at Target. I lost my phone!! My precious, precious phone! I thought I was gonna die! Seriously, Sam was pisst and after searching and calling it and texting it with, "if you have my phone, please let me know... I would pay you cash for it!" We gave up and were in the car and were driving off debating if I should call to report it lost... but then luckily Sam gave it a call one more time and a lady picked up! She was working customer service at Target and apparently, someone picked it up outside in the parking lot and turned it in! THANK YOU!!! To the person who found my phone and returned it, THANK YOU SO MUCH! There should be more people like you in this world... seriously! *hugs* Its karma... I've been good so something good happened to me... hehe! OR... my Angels are just watching over me! :) Either way, I'm glad I got it back because it would have been a VERY awkward ride home. Sam hates how I always lose/break things and he would be pisst if I lost this one after so many things he had bought for me that I've lost. Yikes. So yeah... thank you, thank you, thank you!
Went grocery shopping... stopped at Alberstons... shopped some more... checked RedBox for Twilight because I wanted Sam to see it before New Moon. No luck! Boo! Came home and couldn't find parking, so we parked in red while unloading all the stuff we bought. I snuck online and checked redbox.com and found Twilight at a RedBox two miles away... reserved it... picked it up... and SCORE!! Mission accomplished! Sam liked the movie... he said it was "pretty good". After seeing how excited I was that he actually liked it, he changed his answer to "it was alright". What a hater! Either way, I'm excited for New Moon!
Got tons of things to work on today. Damn! Our turkey palooza is this weekend and I'm so excited to have the gang over for Thanksgiving dinner! GRUB time!!
Okay readers... talk to you (or myself) soon!

Enjoying California...
This past week, Sam had been working some night shifts. Boo! It was hard for me to sleep at night so I usually waited up for him. My sleeping schedule is all messed up! Today, he actually went to work at a normal hour at 8am, but not on such a normal day (Sunday). Sucks. His schedule is going to be a little crazy, but I really can't complain since he's the one taking care of everything at the moment.
Job searching sucks. Well, I never imagined it to be easy during a recession like this. Ugh. What to do? What to do? I am still brainstorming and trying to figure out my career path at the moment. Its driving me nuts!
So... to somewhat keep me sane, thank goodness I've been surrounding myself with good company. The other night while Sam was at work, I hosted a little dinner at my place for a few of the girls. We had so much fun and ate a little bit too much for our own good! Had a bit too much wine too, but we'll leave that part out! :D
Yesterday was Sam's first day off ever since I got back from Vegas (YAYYY!). So what did my wonderful Husband decide to do? Take me shopping!! Actually, he did more shopping for himself than for me (to be fair, I shop ALL the time whereas he never really had time to shop, so I guess its okay). Then, he brought me out to get some sushi and sake bombs! Oh man... I had a bit too many but they were so cheap (we coincidentally got there for Happy Hour). Next thing you know, his coworkers came in! I've already met them and one of them still teases me about my Twilight obsession that I admit to have grown out of after all the overrated hype. Anyway... after a delicious dinner, we came home and spontaneously hosted another night in for our friends (very last minute). I was a terrible hostess and actually passed after a couple rounds of drinking games that I was hosting... what the heck! Who does that? Anyway... I guess the night wasn't over until 5am almost 6am and Sam had to work at 8am! Meaning... he had about an hour of sleep and is working a full 8 hour shift right now. How he does it? I have no idea! He's amazing! :D
Okay... better clean the place up and put some of my clothes and new purchases away before he comes home in an hour. Yikes!
Beach time later? MAYBE!
