Wishful Wednesday - September 15th

I know that I have a lot that I want and according to me, need... but what is wrong with a little wishful thinking?  Therefore, I'm going to start a little "Wishful Wednesday" routine.  The only day of the week where I can blog about the stuff that I want (*ahem*... need!!).  I gotta get it out of the way one day of the week, right?  Leave the other days for some non whiney and needy posts.  LOL

Here I go!!

I really do need this!  Surprisingly, I've never had a makeup brush belt because I haven't found a good quality and affordable one.  Now... I have lots of brushes, but I can never have enough.  Therefore, it would be perfect if I was to get this... a brush belt with MORE brushes!  Whoot!

I love FALL for fashion.  I love sweaters, jackets, and boots... and this is the perfect season for it.  I used to have something similar to this, but like most of my stuff, its MISSING!  Boo!  Therefore, I need another one!  Please and thank you. :)

Okay don't laugh but I already have these! LOL... its so comfortable and it was perfect for the rainy weather up in Seattle.  I left them up there and now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind rocking them over here in SoCal!  I mean, everyone seems to panic when it sprinkles anyway, so I might as well jump into the dramatics, right?  They aren't the hottest boots on the block, but they sure are comfy and I love them!  I AM GOING TO ASK MY SISTER TO SEND THESE TO ME, ACTUALLY!  Thanks in advance, Sis!

This is a little funky, but I wonder if this wedged heel that looks like a regular heel is comfortable.  I'd rock it!

I have LOTS more on my wish list, but I guess I will save them for next week.  Its fun to online window shop, isn't it?  I find every excuse to shop... for real or not for real.  How lame!

Have a great Wishful Wednesday, everyone!

Dreaming... Quadruplets!

Yesterday was Sam's day off.  FINALLY.  The sun was out and I wanted to explore a little bit.  One of his coworkers told me that I should check out Old Town Pasadena because its a fun place to roam around and hang out.  So, I dragged my loving Husband out of bed to bring me!  (Now I feel really bad because we are both sick... he is worse than I)

After an hour drive, I was sort of disappointed.  I had no idea it was a downtown area for SHOPPING.  When I hear "Old Town", I was thinking of a cool old town with historic buildings and such and a feast for my eyes.  Blah... oh well... lets make the best of it, right?  Y'alls know that I love to shop but feeling a little woozy and sick, I wasn't really in the mood.  We grabbed sushi and sake instead because we were sort of hungry.  Needless to say, we got a bit tipsy together from the sake.  Yeah... and I know that we're sick, I just thought that alcohol would kill the sick germs.  LOL.  On a full stomach now and still nearly two hours left in the parking meter, we shopped around a bit.  I like it when Sam brings me shopping when he is tipsy.  Because of that, I got three new jackets from H&M.  Thanks Baby!!  If you didn't already know, there's a sale going on.. $15 off jackets and blazers for men AND women.  Great deal, if you ask me... BUT it ends today so if you're reading this, hurry up and get to an H&M today!  Sucks that you can't shop online in USA though... sucks really bad.

Stuck in traffic on our way home, but decided to drive down to Santa Ana for groceries because I've been craving mangoes!  I was disappointed to see that they didn't have very many good ones left.  Hmph!  :(  Came home after grabbing some boba... and thats when it hit us that we were both getting sick... worse than earlier in the morning.  Boo!

Now... let me tell you about my dream!!

I dreamt that I was pregnant.  I was about 5 months along and then all of a sudden, I gave birth... to FOUR babies!  I had quadruplets!  They were 4 beautiful girls and for some reason, their names were, Lexie, Kenzie, Violet, and Iggy.  WTF and why they were their names, I don't know.  I think Lexie and Violet was because I was thinking about my cousin's daughter whose first name is Lexia, but we call her Lexie and the other side of her family calls her Violet, which is her middle name.  Also, because Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was on last night and one of the kids' names was Violet... the girl who turns violet.  LOL.  Kenzie probably because I love the name, "MacKenzie" and is the name I wanted to name my daughter whenever I have her.  Iggy... I don't know... but WTF, right?  LOL!  I woke up and told Sam... I think he's scared.  My poor Husband... he really wants a baby right now, but understands that I am not yet ready and would still like to do more before I have a baby.  :)  BUT... my dream was so real and it was such a long dream that I fell so much in love with my daughters and I miss them right now thinking about it.  I can't describe the feeling, but man... I can't wait to be a Mommy one day.  One day.

Now... I think I'm gonna go back to bed and let me head rest a bit.  I just wanted to share my dream because it is really making me smile right now.

I Want You...

For some reason, I still want this thing:

I know it will NEVER happen (look at the price tag that it comes with), but its okay to dream, right?

But damn... you know what I can do with that money? A whole lotta...!!

I wonder if Santa Clause can hear me yet. He needs to work more days than just one and dammit, finally find me at the correct address this time! Grrr...! (I know he had gifts for me the past 25 years, he just got lost along the way. I forgive him... maybe.)

Victoria's Secret Panties... hmmm... which ones to pick?

I cannot believe I am posting this right now. Actually, I can believe it because it is MY blog and posting it makes me happy and if anyone has a problem with it, then screw you and stop reading and familiarize yourself with the little "X" box in the corner (or if you have a MAC, the little red circle in the upper left corner).

And if you are viewing this from work, then I am sorry for you and wishing you luck that the little I.T. guy around the corner doesn't catch you. I especially hope that your boss doesn't walk in on you looking at this. *giggles*

Now... on to the good stuff! :)

I got this in the mail today:

Not really a big deal, right? Yeah... but it surely made my day!

"No purchase necessary" is probably my second favorite set of three words put together. :)

So I was bored and was just browsing online since I haven't been in the store since the last time I overloaded on 10 panties... which wasn't too long ago. I wanted to see what my options were. I have this $8.50 budget (LOL), but hey... its better than nothing, right?

I found my options:

No worries... there are many more prints and designs along with each panty you see so just click on it if you want to see more options. Victoria's Secret is pretty good with their variety of prints and styles.

Sam hates my Granny panties but I LOOOOOOVE them! They are so comfy and because he hates them, for some reason, I love them even more. I guess I have this natural ability to spite people unintentionally. *shrugs*

I must also admit... posting this made me drool a little and reminded me that my diet was SUPPOSED to start yesterday. Oops!

So...

1. Did you get a coupon in the mail?
2. How often do you shop for panties?
3. What is your favorite style?
4. Are you a plain panties type of girl or a wildin' out in prints type?
5. Do your panties always match your bra? (If so... HOW do you do it?)

Teedaloo!!

Wakin' up in Vegas!

Wow. After being home for nearly 12 hours, I sit here and continue to reminisce about this past weekend. I've been to Vegas many times, but this one has got to be one of the best ones because of the balance and the fact that I got to do a lot more than usual in about half the time that I usually spend there.

Before the trip, there were some issues where people made me feel like I wasn't going to enjoy my trip. Thank goodness it didn't affect it too much. In fact, despite the little bit of awkwardness I felt, I think something good came out of it. Its healthy to be honest about your feelings and speak your mind rather than have people play a guessing game. I know that I often joke that the world revolves around me but it makes me wonder if people really truly feel that the world revolves around them. Whatever it may be, I say screw with it and do what makes YOU happy. If people choose to moan and groan over situations rather than try to do something about it to change it, then there is nothing that I can do about that. Like I usually say, "sounds like a personal problem to me"!

Anyway... when it came down to the trip, I had such a blast! The "party train" tolerated my loud and annoying self, somehow. Big props to them for being able to do it and having such great sense of humor.

We stayed at the lovely Bellagio and we certainly had a front row center view of the water fountain that gives a remarkable water show every 30 minutes. Breathtaking and beautiful... I loved it!

Our first night there was short because we got in so late, but we made the best of it at the timeshare that our friends were at. SOOOOO much fun! We didn't get back to our room until about 4am and all of us knocked out pretty quickly. Woke up early the next morning and had really good dim sum that seemed to give a few diarrhea, but it didn't really affect me. In fact, I wanted more! Yummm! Went shopping and my sweet Husband insisted I pick out a purse from Michael Kors. Honestly, I've been looking for a style that I saw ONCE and have thought about since. Unfortunately, I couldn't find that one but fell in love with another. He insisted. (I told you he loves me!) If I develop a handbag obsession, he is to blame. LOL!

I just took these pictures real quick and don't feel like looking for the pictures online.

(found this online in brown. mine's "vanilla")

Its simple and SO me. I love it and it does everything I need a purse to do.

I've never been a HUGE fan of COACH or any of the other brands because I would much rather pay for high quality leather than the same amount for canvas. I also am not fond of signature monograms. I like my bags plain and simple and this is just perfect for me. What I love most about this is the feel of the calf skin leather. I usually love lambskin leather a lot more... but I am not going to complain about this one. *swoons* Thanks Baby!

Went back to our room for the water shows. Found ourselves at the Wynn buffet. I hate to admit but it wasn't my favorite in Vegas. I had high expectations but was left pretty disappointed. Oh well... first time for everything and I wouldn't know that I didn't like it if I didn't try it, right?

Hustled and got into Tryst and cut everyone in line at XS... without paying a dime. Whoever told us that everyone has to pay and there are no special treatments were lying or weren't so lucky. I've been wanting to check out XS for a long time now and this is the first time I actually made it (I hate and usually refuse to wait in lines). The club itself was beautiful and I had so much fun dancing in the water... but I wasn't enjoying the overcrowded dance floor so much. I would much rather be at a smaller club or lounge with better music and more room to dance. Oh well... I hope I don't come off as I am complaining because I'm not. I had a great time and glad that I went. I just think I would rather check out other clubs the next time I get a chance.

OH... and I got to meet up with an old friend of mine since my middle school and soccer playing days. It was so great to see her after so many years. I wish we would have had a chance to actually sit down and talk and catch up, but she was such a great sport and met up with us for the club and stayed for about an hour or two. She's a Kindergarten teacher down there and its great to see that she is doing so well nowadays. I've really missed her and our other friends. We will definitely have to have another reunion with the other girls soon. We went back to the hotel and some of the others gambled while a few of us crossed over to Planet Hollywood and got our munchies at Earl's. By far my favorite sandwich shop and I was waiting and anticipating visiting this place again after contemplating seconds back in September when I first tried it. YUMM! If you haven't tried it, you much! In words of one of the girls, "it was definitely worth the walk".

The next morning, we had to say our goodbyes to Vegas. After packing, we went to check out the new city center at Aria. BEAUTIFUL place! I didn't realize how much I loved interesting architecture. The place was amazing and I fell in love with everything there except for the prices on the mochas. Ugh... my first $7 cup of WCM... but it was pretty darn good.

We had lunch at the famous Pink's. I'm not a big fan of hot dogs... but this one was pretty damn good. I know it doesn't look so appetizing but it really is YUM!

Chili fries... with onions (my own addition). Mmmmmm!!

We went back to Aria after lunch and did a little gambling before hitting the road. I lost $16 on the slots after about 3 minutes and called it quits! I've never had luck in gambling... sucks. Sam loves craps (the name of the game still makes me giggle) and so I joined him at the tables. I got there and thats when he started coming up. It was his turn to roll and the older men at the table were cheering him on and telling him that the lady next to him must be his good luck charm. He agreed. He bets small... but after the end of his rolls, he cashed out and was $463 richer. Whoot! I was a happy camper and he was a lot sexier when he wins! HAHA... totally kidding!

We ended our trip over dinner at a pho restaurant in Placentia. This is how I ended it:

It would take me forever to go through all the details but although the trip was mellow, the laughing was nonstop. I love my party train and really look forward to our next trip together.

P.S. I'm not allowed to get into details on the most memorable parts because what happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas, but the memories live on in my heart. Always.

Being a BAD GAL!

I am being a bad girl and am in a shopping mood again! But then... when am I not in a shopping mood? I shouldn't be doing any shopping, but how can I not? I was probably born to shop or something, but I just haven't realized it yet or I haven't found a job that will pay me to do so. I should have kept the Personal Shopper job at Nordstrom many moons ago, huh? Nah... I don't see myself living in Cedar Rapids... thats just nuts! (No offense to anyone who lives there now)

Though I am in a shopping mood... even though I wouldn't be doing any real shopping, online window shopping, I can't seem to figure out what it is that I want to (online window) shop for. Anyone who knows me knows that if I don't have anything in particular that I need, you can probably find me in the cosmetics department! AND... that is where I am.

I love the cute little packaging and themes that different companies come up with. One of my favorites (for its packaging AND prodcts) has got to be Benefit! Whoever is the designer for it all is genius and must have a bubbly and fun personality! I haven't tried all of their products, not even most (can't afford to), but I've tried and loved quite a bit. Check out some of my faves:

Bad Gal Lash... how cute is that? I love this mascara... and you can get a small size for only $9 just to try! Even drug store brands cost almost the same as that. Totally worth a try if you ask me!

SO cute!! This thing really does work! It practically dries up your zit or pimple and within a few hours, its once considered a mountain bump is as flat as the plain (the rest of your face). I highly recommend... but please don't use it all the time or all over your face because as I mentioned, it dries up your skin wherever you apply it.

The packaging itself is a turn on! Oh my! But wait until you actually try the product. Lets just say that the packaging is NOT misleading. *giggles*

Ahhh... I love this! For a nice, subtle, glow... and its not heavy or too thick like a lot of highlighters... very easy to blend and you can mix a drop with your tinted moisturizer for a soft, dewy, glow.

Ever wondered how some celebrities have ultra smooth and sleek looking legs that don't seem to have any scars or discoloration at all? Almost looks like they are wearing pantyhose, even? Well, I think I may have found their secret!

Now... here are a few things that I would like to try... seems so interesting!

Why its called Dear John? I really don't know but it surely caught MY attention!

Silver Lining? NO.... Silver Dress PLEASE!

I don't know if I ever mentioned this before, but I am going to Vegas this weekend with the Husband and our friends! Although it wasn't said to be a couples' trip, it most likely will turn out to be. The past few times I went to Vegas with Sam was during our couples' trips... and we always have good ol' mellow fun. This time around though, before all of us start popping out babies (although a couple have some buns in the oven already), I would like to party it up at least for a night. Some of the other girls agreed to it.

If you haven't already noticed, I LOOOOOOVE themes when I go out. Especially when its the girls who have to get into the theme, it makes it more fun and having the little bit of restriction in what we have to wear is a challenge and that excites me. I told you that I live my life like its a game... I don't think thats necessarily a good thing, but its fun while I am living it. :)

Last year, my other groups of friends have already had silver themes, but this group of friends haven't yet. I guess silver is the IT color or something. I don't mind because I personally love silver and anything blingy myself. So for this upcoming weekend... guess what the theme will be!! *silence* YUP! You guessed it! SILVERRRRR! Honestly, I just bought a cute little black dress that I was hoping to wear, but I refuse to be a party pooper or difficult in any way, so silver it is! It will be fun!

NOW... what do I wear? I don't want to wear what I wore in the past... only because they are all far too flashy and this is less of a blingy theme. PLUS... I want an excuse to shop! If you've been reading my blog, you know that I am a cheapy and to be quite honest with you, I am not at a state where I would pay more than $50 for something I might only wear once anymore. AND... if its on sale or a bargain in any way, it most likely awesome in my book!

So here is what I found and I think it has potential... AND... its over 50% OFF... SCORE!!

Tell me the truth... is it ugly? Well... I know I shouldn't care what others think, but I wouldn't like the idea that I look like Tin Man whilst walking with my head held high believing that I looked good.

Reading the reviews on the site, I guess I will have to see it before purchasing. I think that calls for a mall run. I'm starting to hate the mall when I can shop online. Who is with me on that one?

No really... so... what do you think?

February 11, 2010

Need you, Miss New Booties!!

Is finding a pair of booties really that hard? I never thought that it would ever be this difficult but after the past few trips to the mall, I am a believer. What gets me is that I am not even that picky and what I am looking for is very general. Here is what I need my future booties to be:

  • black
  • close toed
  • calf length
  • standard heel (no wedges, flats, or heels that can be considered as weapons)
  • look good and casual... somewhat funky
  • leather... not patent leather nor suede though
  • all black... not looking for a wooden heel or anything
  • inexpensive (I refuse to pay more than $50 for a pair that is almost out of season already)
Really though... thats not too much to ask for, is it?

I came across lots of booties that are open toed, but thats not what I am looking for. Yes, it is probably one of the latest trends and it is cute, but again, its not what I am looking for.

Shopping online nowadays seems to be a lot easier but now, I can't decide which ones are better between these two. Help?

NOTE: Okay... I did see both of them yesterday, but one of them was only available in brown and the other one were out of stock. LAME.

Okay... which ones do you like better? THANKS for the help! :)

Cheapo Thydo!

Call me cheap, but I have never really been a fan of overly priced handbags. Yes, I do indulge in certain things and often times, they are pretty unreasonable. I admit, I have my over the top moments where people can just look at me like, "WTF"? Haha... I like seeing what people's responses might be! :)

Anyway... handbags... is an accessory! It is nice to have nice things (such as handbags), but what is really the purpose of that when you really wouldn't have any real value in there anyway? I mean... would you really spend more than you have on a handbag and then really not have a dime to your name left in there? I think not. Besides... again, its an accessory, people! I guess I shouldn't really single people out for liking nice handbags, but I guess I just see it differently.

First off, I don't want to pay more money to promote for a company that is in actuality, really jipping me. You would think that companies would be more likely to give you a discount to promote for them rather than charge you more for a right to promote for them. Makes sense? Anyway... my point is that I am too damn cheap to spend an arm and a leg for a handbag. I like to switch things up and in this case, quantity over quality! :D I can't live with just one bag for the rest of my life... I need variety! That is why I always opt for the less expensive bags so that I can afford 10 of them rather than 1. You get it?

One bag that I am currently contemplating is this:

undefined

I think its cute, simple, inexpensive, and I don't have a navy bag... yet! I love satchels... a big bag type of girl because I like to carry everything that I own everywhere with me. Haha... what do you think? (You can click on the image to see more pictures and views because this one probably doesn't do it all its justice) Likey or no likey?

I'll probably try to check it out at my nearest Nordstrom today. We shall see. Sis is bringing me shopping... gotta love that, right? ;)

Old Indulgences

After a day full of eating food coma prone foods, I can't seem to fall asleep and found myself browsing the web. Okay I admit, I was somewhat shopping online on my favorite website, and also just looking at pictures from my birthday. Stole some pictures from Jenn's FB, (thanks honey) and as I was saving this picture:

I noticed that I was wearing something that I've had for years and seems to still be on the market. Its one of my old, wreckless indulgences that I soon after regret making the purchase of but later learned how to appreciate it more and more. Its my Mike & Chris lambskin leather jacket!

And yes, Jenn sort of raided my closet, but as you can see, all my clothes are just way too big for her. That skinny mini!

Anyway, although I've had this jacket for years, I still love it and wear it often. Someone once asked to buy it from me for half the price (which was quite a bit), but I just couldn't part with it.

Curious? Its here... just that mine is in a dark brown rather than the black that is shown here:

Mike & Chris at ShopStyle

I would never even pay 1/10th the price of that jacket on a jacket nowadays... not even close. I'm a lot smarter and poorer than that now. Anyway, I am considering selling it, but I doubt anyone would still be interested although stars like Megan Fox and Miley Cyrus, and so many more are all rockin' the Mike & Chris now... but I don't know if I could ever part with it. If anyone is interested, let me know. Its a size small, but for some reason, it feels bigger than that.

Oh man, I don't know if I could even part with it anyway. Forget about this post... screw it!! :( I don't part with objects that I love very easily. *sigh*

Rain, rain... go away!

I'm so surprised to see it raining right now. Since I've moved down here nearly 4 months ago, this is a first. In a way, its sort of refreshing, but at the same time... I wish it would go away because rain just makes me want to sit around and be lazy... not like I'm not already or anything.

Christmas shopping is bogus! I have more fun shopping year round than I do around Christmas. I am obviously a bargain hunter and its rare that I pay full price for anything if I can help it. (Yes... and I'm proud of it... thanks!) It seems like the stores have been jacking up the price and the items that are usually 75% OFF are now 25% OFF with a bigger sign that says SALE. Yet, people seem to buy, buy, buy because they have to since Christmas is creeping up faster than most of us would hope. Ugh. I hate shopping during this time of year! I vow to never wait to Christmas shop in December ever again... unless its on Christmas Eve or the day before when stores REALLY need to get rid of their stuff! Now, I have another excuse to shop throughout the year! :D

Okay... so enough of that! Kunthea, one that doesn't usually like to mingle or celebrate his birthday was in for a surprise when we did a little something something for him. He would have been upset if we went all out but since the guys were coming for their Friday usual anyway, we turned it up a notch and used his birthday as an excuse to celebrate and eat fatty foods and cheesecake! Then on Saturday, we celebrated Paline's birthday over dinner, dessert (yum), and some good ol' Taboo! Oh man... that game can get very competitive and sometimes violent! I don't think they'd ever let me live down the time I almost knocked Sam out with my elbow back in 2006 because he was hovering over me and trying to distract me during such an intense game. Even this time around, I caught myself yelling and even at times threatening people. I need to control my anger and remind myself that its only a game. A FUN game, that is! I love it when everyone gets into it... it makes things more fun and enjoyable. Definitely a bonding moment despite the threats and the insults. Sore losers? I think not! OH... and get this... we were Team Edward VS Team Jacob! WTF! I was loving it though! Team Edward... Blood Suckers... OH YEAH!!

I'm looking forward to having my Jenn & Joe here for the weekend to celebrate the fact that I'm getting old. 25... thats a lot. I remember thinking people who were 22 are old! Damn! Husband asked me out on a date for my actual birthday. I have no idea what we're doing or where we're going, but its supposedly a surprise. I hope I don't ruin it for myself this time. I'm excited though! Just hope that this rain goes away! Looking forward to hanging out with friends to celebrate getting old again with the friends I have down here. I've mellowed out a lot... and I really like that about myself. Hehehe... I go through my phases, so we'll see. Birthdays only come around once a year. Well, for most of us anyway... haha... my Sister celebrates like three different birthdays. WTF! But yeah... definitely something to celebrate and a great excuse to gather the loved ones for a good ol' time!

Manic Monday!

What a weekend it was! Briefly (or try to be), let me reflect.

Friday, a nice and relaxing evening at home with some curry. I made spicy duck fried rice earlier that day for Sam's lunch... talk about grub all day! Went to bed full, which is always good and bad... depends on how you look at it.

Saturday, Sam had to work (boo), but we made it to Rocky and Kat's place to watching the boxing match. I never get into the fights because... I just didn't see how watching people get beat up could be fun. BUT, I actually gave it a try this time and it was pretty intense. Maybe because I was busy twittering about Cotto's face and how it was good looking before and not so much afterwards. Homie was beat and swollen. Poor guy! Hung out with Rocky's family and Bo... ate some yummy food that Kat cooked up for us. I'm so glad I found another Twilight junkie... she's crazy! She already has her New Moon tickets and just bought a New Moon blanket! So funny! Then, Rocky's 10 year old nephew jumped in the conversation and thats when we realized that we're still reading the same book a 10 year old does! LOL! I wanna go see it on Friday too... maybe Sam will surprise me and get off early and bring me? Haha... wishful thinking!

Sunday... busy busy day it was! Lunch with my baybay at home... and then it was a day full of shopping! We got some frames for our pictures (finally), and also picked up our Christmas tree and decorations. Sam isn't big on celebrating, but he knows I am and the holidays always make me feel giddy inside so he got into it too! Which, by the way, we still need to put up. Then, we went to Westminster to do some more shopping and before going to the grocery store down there, we stopped at Target. I lost my phone!! My precious, precious phone! I thought I was gonna die! Seriously, Sam was pisst and after searching and calling it and texting it with, "if you have my phone, please let me know... I would pay you cash for it!" We gave up and were in the car and were driving off debating if I should call to report it lost... but then luckily Sam gave it a call one more time and a lady picked up! She was working customer service at Target and apparently, someone picked it up outside in the parking lot and turned it in! THANK YOU!!! To the person who found my phone and returned it, THANK YOU SO MUCH! There should be more people like you in this world... seriously! *hugs* Its karma... I've been good so something good happened to me... hehe! OR... my Angels are just watching over me! :) Either way, I'm glad I got it back because it would have been a VERY awkward ride home. Sam hates how I always lose/break things and he would be pisst if I lost this one after so many things he had bought for me that I've lost. Yikes. So yeah... thank you, thank you, thank you!

Went grocery shopping... stopped at Alberstons... shopped some more... checked RedBox for Twilight because I wanted Sam to see it before New Moon. No luck! Boo! Came home and couldn't find parking, so we parked in red while unloading all the stuff we bought. I snuck online and checked redbox.com and found Twilight at a RedBox two miles away... reserved it... picked it up... and SCORE!! Mission accomplished! Sam liked the movie... he said it was "pretty good". After seeing how excited I was that he actually liked it, he changed his answer to "it was alright". What a hater! Either way, I'm excited for New Moon!

Got tons of things to work on today. Damn! Our turkey palooza is this weekend and I'm so excited to have the gang over for Thanksgiving dinner! GRUB time!!

Okay readers... talk to you (or myself) soon!

Friday the 13th!

Yeah... today is Friday the 13th, alright. Hopefully today will be a great day... almost like yesterday.

We went to lunch with Louis and his brother. Sophy's, that is. Haven't been there in awhile, but I was torn between the salmon salad and salmon curry. Salmon salad it was! Yummmm!! The boys got their usual Thai Boats. I've never actually ordered one myself, but I have heard that its bomb diggity. Will try one day when I can steer away from the other options on the menu. I'm not a noodle/pho fan, but I'd eat it. We'll see.

Afterwards, we went to go check out the Verizon Droid. Whoopy. I don't like the bigger/bulkier one, but the cheaper one is a lot cuter and hey... I wouldn't mind having one. Hint hint. I just got my BB Tour less than three months ago, so I still need to break this one in. I shouldn't say that because breaking something is what I do best and I only meant that figuratively, not literally.

Then it was SHOPPING time! I admit, I didn't buy as much as I thought I would... which is a great thing! I've gained about 10 pounds within this past week (seriously), so I wasn't so much in a shopping mood. BLAH. Sam still thinks its ridiculous how I still have tags on most of the stuff in the closet, but its just I haven't found a perfect time/occasion to wear them yet. AND... I couldn't pass up on it. I have issues.

My in laws got some oysters and it was delish!! I don't know how they got such a great deal on such yummy oysters. Those things were HUGE and you can get food coma status type of full off only a couple. I had more than a couple though.. haha! There were so many left as we were leaving last night and they might just go to waste. Damn... I regret not eating more right now. WTF. HAHA! Soooooo good! I think I posted a picture on Twitter. LOL

Also got a chance to swing by an Asian supermarket and picked up some things. I am excited to try some new dishes!! Wish me luck! Maybe I should stay out of the kitchen on Friday the 13th though. Haha...excuses, excuses!

Then... we went and picked up some more FRIENDS DVDs!! One of my all time favorite shows. Although the show ended about 5 years ago, I still crack up from the episodes that were first aired in 1994. I was only 10 at the time and didn't enjoy them as much, but now I loooooove it!!

Overall, yesterday was a great day. Correction... a great fatty day!

We need to STOP!

We really really do. Two people should not be visiting Costco more than once a month. We're there about every week! Our original plan was to only pick up our pictures and this collage I had ordered (which is so cool, by the way), but tell me why we ended up spending nearly $200 yesterday on groceries that we probably don't even need. Okay fine, they're not all groceries, but they are household items that are probably necessary, but really... Costco sizes? Our place is getting a bit crowded and our fridge is overflowing. I have an addiction to buying things. Correction -- I have an addiction to buying things I don't need. Sam calls it "ka'pek ka'pok" stuff.... which is true. What's wrong with me?

From now on, I am going to try my best to reduce the number of things that I buy. I hope to not pay a visit to Costco again until another two months (except for the times when I need to pick up pictures... again).

BUT... the coupon book is just screaming my name! I'd feel like I'm missing out on a good deal if I don't use those darn coupons! Why did we spend $200 to save $18? HAHAHA! Its ridiculous. We need to stop... right now!

On another note, I made shrimp ceviche and fish tacos for the first time last night! Those who are my FB friends would know that I've made attempts at cooking and its not half bad, if I must say so myself. Sam is the worst (or maybe best) food critic ever! He notices every little thing... even if you are missing a few grains of salt! Its annoying... but at the same time, I'm thankful for his honesty. Now, he's actually really loving/enjoying my cooking and yesterday, he even told his parents that I'm a great cook. Very surprising because the guy doesn't give compliments to anybody. Just kidding... he's not that bad. Another ego boost for me! Whoopty doo... because I really need one, right? ;) (thats sarcasm just in case anyone didn't catch that). Back to what I was saying... I ate so freakin' much last night! I seriously was in such food coma that I don't think I even moved once in bed!

For those who don't know.. Southwest Airlines is having a 72 hour sale. Check it out! southwest.com

The Good Life!

Did I ever mention how much I am enjoying the married life? Actually... we have our moments, but overall... I'm loving it!

Thank goodness for recipe books! I found one the other day at Borders for 5 bucks and of course, I have my Borders Rewards membership thingy and got 40% off that so after tax, it was like 3 bucks! SCORE!! Tried a recipe out of there that Sam had circled to show me that he wanted to try it and he kept saying how it was good! I'm so proud of myself! Though it is following someone else's recipe, I'm still proud because I actually did the damn thang!

We were on a hunt to find some seaweed last night. I've been wanting to try to make some sushi! Unfortunately, we were out of luck. Well, we went pretty late and most Asian stores were closed. Better luck next time!

I love Target! So many cool things there and for some reason, I never get bored!

I'm trying this new thing... no eating after 8pm. Will be interesting... hard, yes... but I love challenges! We finally got a scale last night! Wuahahah! Its FUN! Often disappointing, but fun regardless.

Tonight, will be whipping up some things for Sovina's birthday tomorrow. Then, I need to figure out what to wear. Party Bus... never been on one so should be interesting!

Last night, I had a glass of wine and knocked out so good. Woke up feeling great. I thought I was drunk in the morning for a minute!

Our place is a mess and I need to really clean it up here. Procrastination is the devil and being easily distracted doesn't help. Who wants to come help me clean up?

Lovin' Laughlin!

My first trip to Laughlin was a success... sorta! The traffic Friday evening when we left wasn't great, but it wasn't the end of the world either. We got there pretty late, but just in time to get a few hours of sleep before playtime!

We went to Lake Mead at 6:30am! Well, that was the plan, but I'm sure we didn't really leave until about 7am! :D Anyway... my first time jet skiing was so much fun! I can't believe I almost didn't get on that thing because I was scared but once I got on, it was an addiction. Apparently, they could hear me scream the whole time (its more exciting that way... like on a roller coaster, you don't get the same thrill if you don't scream). I was trying to sing while Sam was driving and everytime I would, he would go faster or slow down to scare me with a whiplash so that I'd stop singing. What a punk!

I had fun with my deck of cards and trying to punk everyone to drink later that day. I felt sort of bad because a few got pretty messed up and were just laying there helpless. I usually don't do a lot of drinking when I'm hosting a game, but my friends have caught on and have somehow made me drink as much, if not more than them. No one ever is supposed to beat me in my drinking game, but this past weekend, Bo did. How he did it? I will never know but I'm just going to believe that he cheated although I don't see how he could have. HAHA! I got pretty messed up myself and knocked out on the hammock in the sun for awhile. I hate my drinking games!

Oh... and I hate getting bit! Freakin' red ants... I hate you! That sh*t was so painful and for a minute, my thigh and butt felt so numb! Grrrr...! And then after that mofo bit me, I picked it off me and let it go and live. What the heck was I thinking?

Played in the water for a bit and the guys were enjoying themselves making bubbles in the water. Nasty asses!

We got to gamble for a little bit and I'm still upset at somehow losing $10 in the penny slots within a minute or two even after thoroughly reading the instructions. Then, I upgraded to the nickle slots and it was just not my lucky day at all! $19 later, I still couldn't get a drink from the cocktail waitress... she straight up rejected me and I had to go stand around by Sam at the craps table in order to get my lousy white russian! Grrr! Sam broke even... actually won $2 but he tipped the cashier lady with it. HAHA! I am $19 poorer... eff that! Actually wait... I guess I sorta came up because Sam gave me $50 to gamble and I only used $19 so I came up, really! LOL! There was a club there and Lily and I decided to check it out while our boys were hooked on craps. We decided that its just not the same to dance when you're not in heels. Too bad I didn't pack heels with me!

Our drive back was a freakin' mission, dude. Long story short... 5 hour drive turned into a 12 hour drive. Thank goodness for thoughtful and caring friends who would never leave us roasting on the side of the road in 104 degrees weather. Few lessons learned... but I kinda sorta don't wanna think about it anymore.

We got a few minutes in Barstow and we found a cute COACH purse for Sam's Mom for her birthday! I thought I would want something in there and Sam kept on trying to push me to get something (he's more into designer stuff than I am), but I couldn't decide on something I actually really wanted. I told him that with my luck, I'd probably lose it or somehow mess it up with my clumsiness so I'd rather buy 10 cheaper purses that are equivalent to one expensive one instead. He thinks I'm weird... I think I just know myself! :D

Didn't get home until past 1am last night and this morning, we were greeted with a parking ticket. WTF. It hasn't been our day(s).

Leaving... AGAIN.

Oh man... what a fun filled weekend it had been! Lets see...

Wednesday - EARLY flight to LB. The Man sitting next to me was telling me how he was coming down to LB for a Square Dance Convention. How interesting! So yeah... didn't get to sleep on the plane as I had planned. My nephew picked me up and I hung out with my nieces and nephews for a bit at my Sister's house. Clogged the toilet and everything! TMI... sorry... but true story! Sam picked me up with a rose on my seat in the car. How cute and sweet he can be sometimes. Keyword: SOMETIMES. We were able to check out some houses that I had seen online. Many didn't appeal to me so much, but it was okay. I guess I can't really hope or want too much with a budget like ours and only one source of income at the moment. Oops! Sweetie Sam (he was so on a roll that day for a minute) brought me to Yogurtland but surprisingly, I wasn't feelin' it and ended up not getting anything. Instead, Cha for Tea's popcorn chicken was pretty good... but nothing compared to Guppy's!

Thursday - Dropped Sam off at work and pretty much chilled out the whole day with his Mom. Finally picked Sam up (I love his schedule, BTW) and helped myself to a French sandwich. Yumm! I can't wait to live off those things when I move down here! HAHA jk! Then, Sam went to go drop off his passport stuff and as I was waiting in the car, I heard that MJ had passed and I couldn't help but get cold chills. I was shocked and for some reason, I saw him as a twenty something year old talented Man. I never realized he was already 50! RIP MJ and Farrah Fawcett.

We tried to take a power nap, but I was too excited for Mai Tai. Sam was meeting up with his coworkers for a drink at Mai Tai, but I insisted we go earlier for the Hang Ten happy hour thingy where there are actually specials on food. Oh man... we ate A LOT! I remember when Sam gave this waitress there a twenty something dollar tip for an eighteen dollar bill. WTF. She wasn't even THAT cute! To his defense, he was drunk. WHATEVS!! LOL! Anyway... I thought we were meeting up with a few coworkers... little did I know that we were meeting up with 30 or 40 something people. I had lots of fun though. His coworkers are kind of crazy... which I like. Totally my kind of people! :D Supposedly, Sam got approval for our marriage after some of them met me. WTF. I almost asked them who the hell they thought they were where Sam needs THEIR approval. HAHA jk... totally kidding! They're cool.

Friday - We got to sleep in until like... noon! Sam didn't have to work (yay!)... but as soon as we woke up, we took care of business. Not like that, you perverts!! We went to go book our photographer for our LB wedding reception. I admit... I did not like the guy nor his work, but f*ck it. I will hold my tongue and bite my lip... and keep the bitch in me inside. Ugh. Oh well. I'll just try my best to get ALL the good shots with Lok In The Moment at the wedding in Seattle. I know I wouldn't be disappointed there. We also got Sam's and his brothers' pants hemmed... which should have been done a long time ago, but whatever. We then met up with the rest of the gang for some Korean BBQ. Yummmm! Originally supposed to go try Shabu Shabu since the Long's were ravin' about it, but it was too late and we were all too hungry to wait for the drive out there. The waiter at the Korean BBQ place probably hated us and when we were done, he said, "Finally". LOL! Cracked me up! We then called it a night because it was late and everyone was all too tired and we had to get up bright and early for the Mac <3 Hui wedding the next day.

Saturday - WEDDING Dayyyyy!! Mac and Sivhui looked GREAT and their wedding ceremony went really well! I loved how it somewhat looked like they were on a stage and the space was plenty. Oh... so Mac sent Sivhui a text message that morning and she told us about it. Of course, our nosey butts wanted to read it too, so she showed it to us. Paline, Lily, Lyna, and I couldn't make it past the fourth word in the message without starting to cry. WTF. We stopped at, "No matter what happens..." because we couldn't take it anymore. WHY are we so sappy and such babies? Haha! We finally made it through the entire message... but it was so hard not to cry. Sivhui cried again! LOL... it was cute and so sweet. Mac is officially the sweetest guy out of the group and Sam still has a lot of work to do. And I mean a lot! HAHA... jk... but not really kidding. Too bad we missed the breakfast slightly (Sam's fault... I swear), but we surely didn't miss out on the lunch! We sat at the table closest to the food (of course) and our hungry asses... we didn't even wait for all the food to come out yet before serving ourselves. The food was delish and I was somewhat in pain after eating because I ate THAT much. Oh man!

I managed to make it to the mall by myself while Sam took a nap after the ceremony looking for a dress and maybe some shoes. I ended up buying some shoes... but they weren't for the wedding (oops). Couldn't find a dress that I was too crazy about, so I ended up wearing a dress I already had. Got home about 2 minutes before the Lok's got there. Darn them for always being on time. We need to learn a thing or two from them. Mikal was smart and picked up some chicken sandwiches for us while we waited for the Long's to get there. Luckily we all ate some of it because the food wasn't served until much later. I would have been an angry camper at the reception if it wasn't for that sandwich! The wedding was beautiful! The couple was beautiful! Ahhh... it was perfect! We all went a little camera crazy... but it was fun. I can't wait to see all of the pictures! Mac made us cry again when he sang to Sivhui while they danced. Damn... where does he learn all the sweetness from? Overall, it was a great wedding and we all had so much fun! Congratulations to the beautiful couple! We predict that they will have a honeymoon baby because every family member of theirs who recently got married has a honeymoon baby! Hehe... I can't wait! Stayed up until nearly 3am just chatting with Thep and Samorn. Ahhh... I love them! :)

Sunday - CJ invited Sam to play a game with his team. I know that Sam missed playing so he just HAD to go. I didn't mind it so much... I actually enjoyed watching the game (surprisingly). They won (yahhhhh!). Then, we went out to lunch where I choked on a duck bone and Sam made me realize that I don't chew my food. LOL. I'm such a dumbass for that. From now on, I will try my best to chew my food! Then, we ran a few errands and picked up some things for the wedding. Most importantly, we picked up my wedding gown. I'm not so crazy about the overpriced (IMO) French lace, but oh well. Other than that, I love it... and Sam loves it! He didn't see me in it (he's more superstitious than I when it comes to this), but he still loved it... which made me really happy! :) Came home and Sam and I worked on our CA wedding invitations together. It was fun! He was so good at it too! I wish he would have been able to help me with the WA ones and be there to help me with favors and other little DIY projects that I need to finish. Oh well... when we live together, we'll work on little projects together often. Or so I hope!

My Sister invited us over to hers and her boyfriend's place in Costa Mesa for a little BBQ. Yummmmm! Good food and I think I ate too much because I knocked out the entire drive home and knocked out right away in my jeans and contacts and everything when we got home. LOL!

Monday - Killing time and waiting for Sam to get off work so I can go bye bye back home. Oh sh*t... I think my laundry is done! Toodle loo!

Back...!

So I'm back at home and FINALLY got the laptop goin' again! I don't know how I survived without the internet for so long! Thank goodness for my Facebook updates sent to my phone, or else I don't think I would still be alive right now. HAHA jk!

My trip to California was okay... I didn't get to see any friends with the exception of Rocky going to the mall with my nieces and I at one point. He doesn't count. LOL!

Relatives' wedding was... ehhhh... okay. I liked my dress, but camera was DEAD. How lame! I managed to snap a shot of myself with my phone for Sam though (and for Facebook, of course! LOL)

Can you believe they still leave the heads on the quails down there? OMG! I guess its normal for them, but I like my quails headless when they're on my plate. Sort of disturbing, but that little leg thats missing in this picture was pretty tasty! LOL

My Parents got to hang out with Sam's Parents quite a bit. His Mom and my Mom did some shopping together and oh my gosh... should have seen them in action! HAHA! We had dinner together 4 nights out of the 7 nights we were there, so it wasn't so bad. :)

My Mom did a whole lot of shopping... and I mean a LOT! She also got six different Khmer outfits made there for my wedding... SIX! WTF! I think she'll be changing more often than the Bride will be! I got a dress made there too... I can't wait for it! So excited!

I say that this trip was OKAY because I didn't have my own schedule and I was practically there to act as a chauffer to everyone. Ugh. I threw a few fits here and there... but overall, I was glad to spend as much time as I did with my family. My nieces, nephews, and I bonded... and we learned more about each other than we really needed to learn. HAHA!

I get to go see my Honey in exactly 7 days. OMG... I didn't even unpack yet and he's bugging me about packing and getting mad at me because I haven't packed yet. He thinks I'm not looking forward to seeing him, but lets let him think that for now!

Invitations... going out soon! Definitely need to compile all my addresses! :D

Ahhhh... so glad to be sleeping back in my own bed.

So much to do and such little time. Oh my!
